JJT: Blame Romo for upheaval in Dallas

It's even simpler than that: Beat Washington and you win the division.

JJT: Blame Romo for upheaval in Dallas

QBs are paid according to expectation. It's not enough to play great during the season. If you're paid like a franchise player, you have to play like a franchise player when the chips are down. So Romo plays great for 15 games. If he throws three INTs during the 16th game, when a win means a...

Rob Ryan hired by St. Louis

I don't get the love for a historically mediocre DC who was mediocre in Dallas the past two years. Jerry Jones may be an idiot. Jason Garrett may be a shitty HC. The offense may have sputtered this season. But none of that changes the fact that Rob Ryan has demonstrated himself to be an average...

One man's complete offseason plan to compete in 2013

The move to a 4-3 is logical IMHO, but about three years too late. I think Rat coulda been an All Pro 3-tech. I like the plan, db. Just don't see much of it happening.

Ok. Kudos to Seattle and Indy. The Skins can fuck themselves.

Not if he continues with the three-man pass rush.

    Josh Brent on the sideline

Getting in front of the wheel when you're alcohol impaired is a stupid thing to do. I'm a bit puzzled, however, why getting into a car with an alcohol impaired driver isn't seen in the same light. From a personal safety standpoint, why isn't deciding to ride with a drunk driver seen as just as...

    Day After Thoughts

Good stuff, db. My question is: How can anyone with basic football knowledge watch this season and NOT see that this team needs to get serious about fixing the OL? They arguably played their worst game of the season yesterday. The only "proven" coaches I can see putting up with Jerry are...

    From a logistical standpoint....

But, but... Ratliff is quick! Ratliff is an All Pro NT! Ratliff doesn't WANT to play another position!

    How does Houston do it?

Been saying tis for a coupla yrs. It's why Shanahan wanted him in Denver. Rick Dennison for HC!

    Mock draft

I love Thomas, Graham, Hunt and Freeman. Graham is an AMAZING runner when he's healthy. He reminds me some of former Panther Shady McCoy. I've seen a lot of Clemson football. Freeman is a hell of a football player, but I think he'll go before the sixth. 1. Hankerson, Richardson or Nix (DE) 2...

    It's not the Oline

Actually, Garrett did adjust--in the third quarter against Cleveland. He went to a no-huddle, three step drop, Bill Walsh-style short passing game. And the team went right down the field. WHY this shouldn't be the stock Dallas offense is beyond me.

    Plan to fix the defense

IMO, a playmaking safety and another pass rusher make the Cowboys an entirely different defensive team (stating the obvious). I'm not often in favor of trading down, but I think unless a player like Richardson or Hankerson falls in our lap, 2013 is a good year to add an extra day two pick.

    Two days after thoughts

I'll never understand why players like Kowalski and Beasley aren't being given a shot. It can't get any worse.

    Back from early retirement

It's not working because the OL is trying to kill Romo and set a record for negative rushing yards.
