They have only 1 #1 WR and a bunch of 3s. Only one player near double digit sacks; after JJ Watt's ridiculous 14.5, Antonio Smith has 4. In fact, JJ Watt accounts for 48% of the Texans' sack output this year.

Schaub is OK, not great. They're rushing the ball fine, noting spectacular there either. Turnovers perhaps?

What is it? Coaching? Infrastructure?

I can't understand it.

A premier running back that can stay on the field.

A true stud receiver, and the 2-3 guys are smart players who run good routes.

They play on a fast track.

They play in a weak division. In a relatively weak conference.

JJ Watt is a beast.

And their owner isnt a piece of shit.

A consistent running game makes them that much more dangerous in the passing game.

They have drafted well and made some solid free agent choices. They do not have "superstars". Arian Foster, Andre Johnson, Watt, etc, all seem to be team first guys.

Bradie James nailed it. The owner has football people running the organization, accountable for their actions. We do not.

They have an outstanding coach and scheme, that's how. Kubiak really knows what he's doing on offense.

They're a great example of how badly coached we are on offense. They don't have an OL of all-stars, either, but they run that zone block scheme and are extremely well taught. And they run the ball well enough that they get receivers wide open off play action.

Romo would absolutely own in that scheme. It would be ridiculous.

The HC picks his staff. And all those on said staff are accountable to him. Neither the OC nor DC has autonomy, to where they do not asnwer to the HC, and can essentially do what they want. So then rather take a KNEE with 4 seconds remaining in the half and just down by 3 POINTS!, you instead have a GENIUS of an OC who thinks that they can cover 80 yards in 4 seconds, and thus decides to call a play with 4 seconds left in the HALF---NOT GAME, and the offense is on their OWN 20 yard; the end result being a fumble that is returned for a TD, so instead of being down by 3 points going into the half, you're then down by 10; and eventually lose the game as a result.
