The 2027 season will have no impact on what pick the Jets get in this trade.

The options were picks in the 26 or 27 draft. It's a 2026 2nd rd pick and a 2027 1st rd pick. The 2027 season won't take place until after that.

That said, most people expect the Packers to be fairly decent for awhile. Like us, they have one of the younger rosters in the league.

I get your point, and you are right. The 2027 season would lead into the 2028 draft. The Packers should still be good in 2026.

There's some stuff to like (size, arm talent) but he's far from a sure thing and he definitely isn't in the NFL Tom Brady universe yet.

The scheme leads to many easy dink and dunk throws or throws to the sideline. He also looks like the typical college QB now where it's basically one read and throw.

We shall see. I'm going to check in on how he is doing here and there. Patrick Mahomes' coach calls him a "generational talent." But we all know that reading a defense and thinking fast has a lot to do with being great, and we won't know that until he faces top talent.
