I'd actually be shocked if Dunbar is cut.
He's got such upside and potential, but it seems they simply can't figure out how to use him and then, seem to forget about him during some games. I really can't see them just cutting him for some other team to pick up, is a trade possible?

It's a shame we're wasting his abilities.

He looked pretty good last night receiving out of the backfield. Richardson is frustrating because he has shown flashes of his potential but then he'll get tripped up and go down over a blade of grass.
Richardson got fat.

He kills it on screen plays. Certainly our best receiving RB. Despite dbair's claim, I think he could be a stud KR for the Cowboys.

Why is no one anywhere, talking Ray Rice? Was he signed, or is he blackballed or what?

Several of the reporters have said its because when teams look at his last yr of tape, it was awful and he looked washed up.

I'd actually be shocked if Dunbar is cut. Isn't it rumored that Linehan loves him?

I guess somebody there likes him. He has shown some flashes, he just disappears for long lengths of time it seems.

Thought it was interesting that he was first for KR and Beasley was first for PR the other night though.

ZeroClub.... I think once we realize we can't run like last year, we will use the short passing game as an extension of the run game, and I think Dunbar will excel there.

But as far as churning for a viable solution, I don't see a viable solution out there. Draft was our best chance.

I think you are right - the draft was the best chance.

I have a difficult time appreciating Dunbar's supposed role in this offense. Although he may be nifty in space and a potential threat catching the ball, he's not so great at pass protection. And if he isn't particularly good in pass protection, is he really the best back to have in the backfield during passing situations?

If Dunbar isn't the guy to pick up the blitz, why not go with an empty backfield and put an extra receiver on the field? If I have a choice between Escobar and Dunbar, I'd rather the ball go to Escobar.

To his credit, Dunbar does a decent job on special teams, which is important, but as a running back he's limited in what he gives you. When Dunbar is in the backfield, everyone looks for a screen or a pass out of the backfield. Dunbar is kind of like Tyson Thompson (everyone knew that if Thompson was in the backfield, he was going to get the ball). Dunbar offers no deception.

A couple of seasons ago Garrett went on and on about how, despite being undersized, Dunbar was a physical back who could run between the tackles without getting beat up. It wasn't until Dunbar kept on getting hurt that Garrett finally stopped telling us how physically tough Dunbar was.

Obviously, I'm not a big fan.

Jerry likes him. He said week after week "we" (who knows who that means) would look at the game tape and see how many opportunities they missed getting Dunbar the ball. I think Jerry doesn't understand that the Jason plays doesn't really operate on a specific sequence of player moves that releases a skill position player like a WCO does. So unless Dunbar is called to run the ball, which can get audibled out of anyway, Dunbar does not have a great chance to be a receiver when Witten, Dez, and Beasley are open downfield. Jerry would have to force the playcall like he did last with Murray.

Browns just cut Phil Taylor....6'3" 335 lbs only 27.

I'd have traded a 7th for him at least. We never sign obvious needs and the team thinks the garbage combo of Nick Hayden/Terrell McClain will get it done, but this guy would be an upgrade.

Oh yeah. I've always wanted this guy. An instant upgrade. Hayden/McClain are not garbage --- they just should not be starting. They wiuld make very good depth.

Wouldn't mind taking a look, but this guy has been beyond dreadful for awhile now.

I'd bring in Phil Taylor without hesitation. 3 of his 4 seasons he had a different DC which could explain a lot. My only concern is that knee he injuried. But former first round pick.. Jerry do your thing.

Someone twittered he's never healthy. And considering our adoration for Golden Cock, I don't see us bringing him in.

Well he tore his pectoral in his second year then last year had the knee issue twice, the second time put him down for good.

I don't think we're gonna sign him either. We've shown no urgency or desire to upgrade that position for whatever reason I can't figure it out.

8 teams looking at him now. They seems to think he might have something that will help their respective teams.

but they're all dumb and we are smart and stuff. Plus, Marinelli.
