Yeah, looked it up and he's 34. Didn't realize he'd been around that long. Maybe he is done.

As an aside, the Bills RB group looks about 100x better than ours. Kind of jealous.

Bills are a team to watch this season. I really like their young QB and of course their defense will probably be the best in the NFL. I’m also a Rex Ryan fan.

I would kick the tires on Fred Jackson. See what he has left.

Same here. He's always been a solid do-it-all pro. Plus I'm worried about Randle's pass protection. I've said it in another thread but I'd bring Ray Rice in for a workout too. Also, Saints can't keep all those backs.. I'd keep my eye on that situation.

We're a McFadden injury away from not having a back that can pass protect. And with Romo's back the way it is, that's kinda worrisome.

Have you seen him play? I saw the Browns preseason game, i came away very impressed. It’s preseason so i guess we will see.

Not in the pros, but I followed him a lot at VT. Was supposed to be the next Vick and he just was always inconsistent and most tech fans couldn't wait for him to leave.

That said, he's in a perfect situation in Buffalo. Strong run game and defense. Just don't turn it over and 17 points per game might be enough.

I wouldn't want him as qb1 of my team though.

Jackson looked okay ripping off a pretty long TD run against the Steelers' starters early in their 3rd preseason game...

Also, so the Bills are really naming Taylor the starter? Wow.

Yeah. EJ Manual must be real bad.

Poor Bills just can't draft a QB to save their life. Manual. Losman.

Kid looks great to me. Accurate, composure, scramble ability.

I actually think he does well because of that very reason. He's in a perfect situation with Rex. He won't be expected to win the game, running game will alleviate the pressure on him and the defense will be one of the best units in the league.

Cards have two backup qbs fighting for that 3rd spot (unless they keep 4).. Thomas and Simms. I'd take either one of those over Weeden.

Brandon George -- The Cowboys have waived cornerback Robert Steeples, receiver Phil Bates, defensive tackle Carlif Taylor, punter Tom Hornsey and long snapper Casey Kreiter.

This RB situation is tricky.

By all reports the Cowboys really like Dunbar and have no plans to cut him.

McFadden has looked good in limited action. Now isn't the time to cut him.

Is Randle really so bad in pass protection that the team is willing to cut him? Seems unlikely. And if you do cut Randle, do you replace him with a 30+ year old veteran who may be out of gas? I don't think so.

The Cowboys want to keep a fullback, so Clutts probably isn't going anywhere.

There won't be enough room on the final roster for 4 RBs and one FB.

Unless one of the three current RBs sustains a serious injury, I don't think that the Cowboys have seen enough wrong with what they have now to merit replacing one of their current top 3 with someone new.

Personally, I think the team is overvaluing Dunbar. He's a luxury that you can afford if you feel very good about your other 2 RBs. The Cowboys shouldn't feel great about Randle and McFadden at this point, so that third RB spot should be used by the team to churn for legitimate, viable solutions (instead of a change-of-pace).

You realize that's a PRESEASON HIGHLIGHTS video right?

I just think if you can't be consistent in college in a weak conference (acc) then I wouldn't expect him to be any good in the pros.

We'll see.

I was holding out a small amount of hope for Carlif Taylor. Oh well.

ZeroClub.... I think once we realize we can't run like last year, we will use the short passing game as an extension of the run game, and I think Dunbar will excel there.

But as far as churning for a viable solution, I don't see a viable solution out there. Draft was our best chance.

Fred Jackson is a couple years older than Willis McGahee was when the Ravens signed him. He proved to be nice, short-yardage/redzone back for them.

Speaking of Dunbar, i don’t think he has great vision behind the O-line. Too hesitant. In space he is explosive.

McFadden looked great but he did have better blocking. He did get toe tackled on one play and i wondered if Murray would have gone down that easily.

Randle is going to put up huge numbers this year. I might draft him early in my fantasy league.

I don't know if he plays special teams but I'd take Denarius Moore over Devin Street/aj Jenkins

McFadden looked strong and fast in the Vikes game. But like Midswat said, this whole "run the ball like last year" thing is baloney. Jason even said at halftime of the Vikes game "We wanted to be able to run the ball and aside from the penalties, I think we did just that. And when you can run the ball, that opens up what you can do with the rest of the offense." The intent is to pass. If the run is effective or if the runs fails, the intent is to pass no matter what is happening in the game.

Randle is a Terrible pass blocker. Maybe he should return kicks.
