    *** 2014 NFL Draft thread ***

If they felt he really had a 1st round grade, then it wasn't a bad trade for them. We'll see in 2 to 3 years how it turns out. But their history of wasting picks and trading up means they also need quantity in this draft, so the loss of a 3rd hurts.

Agree that Lawrence was the best speed rusher left. However, there hasn't been this run on DL in the second as some predicted. The Cowboys likely would have gotten two good DL instead of one, if they just stayed at home with their picks and took the best DL available at each spot.

2014 Draft- 2nd rd pick #34 overall- DeMarcus Lawrence DE Boise St

Norm reporting on the Ticket now that Atlanta was going to pick Lawrence with their second round pick. If the Cowboys wanted him, they had to trade up.

    One name, one name only

Barr, Martin, Lewan, Shazier, or CJ Mosley most likely available at that pick Of those, I prefer Lewan first.

    Gil Brant Top 125

Barr should be ranked higher. His measurable and production are both good.

PFT: Raiders send Terrelle Pryor to Seattle

Career backup to Wilson maybe? He doesn't have the same arm so not sure where he fits into their plan unless they are thinking some variation of the wildcat.

Cowboys met with Colorado WR Paul Richardson

Richardson is a boom or bust, but likely will have a career as a 'Alvin Harper' deep threat-type receiver (using speed more than size to get the ball). Personally, I like his potential. However, this is Jerry Jones becoming Al Davis and being fascinated with speed wing players. The only reason...

    Predict the cowboys record

5-11 Jones will not draft or sign enough FA lineman. The defense will be a sieve again, and the OG position may get Romo killed on blitzes. Instead, he will draft WR, TE, and CB thinking all he needs is skill positions. As does everyone else on this board, I hate Jones with every fiber of...

    Mock - 3/16

One DT? Who else starts at the other DT position? We don't need a WR as much as we need a new OT ( to replace Free after this year who can play guard now) and DT.

DMN: 10 offensive linemen Cowboys might target in the draft

Or we could go DL in first round, OT in second and do the same thing. There should be some solid OT prospects in the second to give us the same leverage on Free.

He is a man-beast at 3-4 DE, and would be an ideal fit for the Kiffin scheme as a pass rushing tackle. He can run like many 4-3 DEs much...

Big Game Tonight- Make your call

ND wins by a touchdown. Kelly has this team exactly where he wants them. They are the underdog, nobody thinks they have a chance. And Kelly has excelled in that role as ND coach. Plus, while Alabama racked up their stats against a schedule including FCS teams, ND played a big boy team week...

    How about that offensive line?

I wasn't trying to complain about the treatment, but if you want to look at my post history, you'll see the juvenile treatment I received when I criticized the Claiborne pick. Of course, I ended up being right, but who is counting?
