Moore: Why the Cowboys' free agent haul isn't as good as it initially looked

The DMN has gone downhill will all of the defections to ESPN. They rarely write full stories anymore, and when they do you have to pay for them. It once had a ridiculous amount of talent and the best sports section around, but it's a shadow of its former self.

    Who is Midswat/Sheik?

Sign him sign him sign him sign him sign him.

Do you think Connor signing helps give us flexibility to a 4-3?

They won't because of their DC. It would be unfair to Ryan who runs the 3-4 a year after hiring him.

Who will fill the void created by Robinson signing with Jags?

No doubt the Cowboys will draft more receiver projects after they let the most consistent receiver get away. And we'll be stuck with an oft-injured Austin and head case in Bryant.

    Grade yesterdays free agent signings

The Cowboys will not be taking Decastro in the first round with this signing. And instead of getting a great OG, they overpay for a backup. The Cowboys are just clueless on offensive lineman. I expect the draft is going to piss some people off here as they skip over the biggest needs and draft...

Terrell Owens regrets having to leave Cowboys

Well if you weren't such a retarded man-child franchise-wrecking drama queen, you might have retired a Cowboy.

Report: Browns to franchise LB D'Qwell Jackson

If the Cowboys go 4-3 (which they won't), they have 3 good LB on the roster already that will fit that defense.

    Cowboys f/a speculation from DC.com

Get rid of the cancer Dez, and sign Robinson. He's worth the money and Dez is not.

Theismann: Redskins signing Manning would be “horrific idea”

Theismann is right. The Redskins finally had some success with their draft last year, and building a young, talented team is a good way to go. They need way too many pieces for Manning to lead them anywhere in the next couple of years. Manning should go to a team closer to the bowl that just...

Ellis: Spears - a trusted run stopper in a 3-4 scheme

If they stick with the 3/4, it would make sense to switch Ratliff and Spears. Brent and Spears would offer more size and run-stopping in the middle without either wearing down due to over use. Ratliff would be a great rush end in either the 4/3 or 3/4.

Bob's Blog: Most teams view us as a 4-3 team

The Cowboys have never successfully drafted enough 3-4 personnel. I think it is obvious they don't know how to or fully understand which types of players they need along the DL and at LB. Other than Ware, players are playing out of position across the board. They actually have great 4-3...

Sturm: Looking for a full time Defensive End

Yup. I'll go for that. The 3-4 has been a bust in Dallas because they can't find a second OLB or an ILB that fits the scheme, outside of Sean Lee.

    My all defense mock draft

I think that depends on how you define good. There are typically 1-2 special players at certain positions each offseason, and then several other pretty good ones. People around here, including the media, think we need a 'leading' cornerback. I challenge people to define that term. Not many teams...

    My all defense mock draft

I would rather draft the two best offensive lineman I can in the first two rounds. I am an old schooler in that I think you build the lines and move out. The Cowboys have good offensive skill talent, but a putrid offensive line. That is one of the main reasons they don't make the playoffs and...
