Unfortunately, we're close enough to feel the effects of their bad decisions. There's going to be some kind of exodus of NY'ers bringing their shitty voting records into NJ and overall, the influence is going to spread.

We're witnessing the dismantling of major US cities and it is going to have an impact on our country at large.

Quite frankly VTA, NJ already has a shitty voting record so I doubt little will change. I'd rather these people go to Jersey than a red state.

Why is everybody saying this guy is the slam dunk mayor? is there no chance the Republican or independent candidate can beat him?

I guess the thinking is with the current mayor running as an independent and a republican running that’s gonna split the vote so that this guy ends up becoming mayor?
The Republican candidate is Curtis Sliwa, a clown at best. The independent if Mayor Adams. I think the feds should being playing close attention to this election because I suspect there will be a lot of cheating to get Mamdani elected. One thing we know is the socialists do not believe in playing by the rules or the law.

Being from NJ I have first hand perceptions of this situation. First, over 30 years ago NJ pushed this bullshit affordable housing mandate which was really a ruse to move Democrat voters into Republican strongholds. My area had a staunchly conservative representative until about 8 years ago. By then we had taken in enough non-thinkers to elected a Democrat who claims to work across the aisles but votes with Democrats 100% of the time. Remember, it was not that long ago that there were enough Republican strongholds to elect Christie Whitman and Chris Christie, both Republicans as governor. But like my district, most of those Republican strongholds fell once Democrats were able to import more imbeciles into the affordable homes they forced towns to develop.

Now, this state is so dark blue it looks black.

At the same time, NJ is notoriously corrupt. We have already had several prosecutions for voter fraud, but trust me, those Democrats who got caught were opponents of the NJ Democrat ruling class. I imagine the corruption is far worse than what we have detected.

NJ is not as bad as California or NY, but it is certainly getting there.

Even if we elect a Republican governor this time the state assembly is so Democrat the governor will get nothing done and the state has enough votes to override his vetoes.

I don't know how much longer I will stay here. But I am getting close to calling it quits given the taxes and gun laws.

In the General Election, other Dems can simply run as "Independent" against the Dem candidate and the R candidate. Maybe with that split vote, a R can be Mayor of NYC again . . .

Sounds like Cuomo is hinting at just that

NJ used to be purple and state borders only exist on maps. We can't quarantine states and eventually the virus spreads and there won't be any red states.

I watched this entire interview yesterday. I don't really know Joe Rogan that well. I was surprised how often he agreed with Bernie Sanders, and how little he challenged Sanders despite the press claiming he challenged him on global warming or climate change.

Bernie Sanders, IMO, is a charlatan. The guy is exactly what you would expect of a guy who lived with his parents until age 40 and never really have a private sector job. He has been in congress for a lifetime and seems to disavow any responsibility for everything that goes on in America. From his perch as an independent, he can claim he is fighting alone for the little guy against the oligarchs.

Bernie's view is superficial, and dishonest. Bernie has been in congress for a lifetime, yet somehow he is not responsible for anything? The guys is a do nothing, armchair QB.

And btw, he talks about Trump and worries about Trump authoritarianism. Nothing is more authoritarian than socialism where the state dictates almost everything to the citizens and they must comply. Socialized medicine is an authoritarian system. Gun control is authoritarian. All the things Bernie want to force on Americans is authoritarian.

I can’t stand guys like Bernie. They can’t accomplish anything in real life that involves real work, but then they maneuver, their way through speeches and sound bites into positions of authority, managing things they know nothing about and then strut around like they’ve actually done something. It’s disgusting.

That’s what’s so funny about what they say about Joe Rogan. He’s been a Bernie Sanders supporter for years, even voted for him in a primary yet the idiot Democrats wanna call him a right winger.

Rogan is great and reasonable, his family was on welfare when he was a kid, so he’s got some of the Democrat mindset, but he’s reasonable and thoughtful)not perfect like everyone else) as evidence by the fact he ended up voting for Trump and having him on the show despite consistently saying he never would. He offered Kamala the same opportunity, but she tried to control the interview and get him to come to her and shorten it down to an hour and have all her crew in the room and and he refused I think that and his interview with Trump is what sealed the deal on him voting for Trump.

Plus his show is a fun listen about all kinds of crazy topics

In 2019, SMU, the Dallas-based school changed its governing documents, removing all references to the church that helped found it more than a century ago. School leaders declared that its board of trustees was the “ultimate authority” over the university, not the United Methodist Church.

The changes came after the church voted to ban gay weddings and gay clergy. R. Gerald Turner, who was serving as president of SMU at the time, told the Dallas Morning News that the school made the change “so that we can continue to educate everybody from all Methodist denominations and from other denominations, and people who don’t believe at all.”

Well. They can watch alumni money dry up.

At this point Jackson should be embarrassed but one thing about left wing activists, they have no shame.

Imagine if the liberals ever get in the majority?

Now I wonder what happens to the court. ACB's "rebuke" was scathing, and personal. Jackson is proving she is unprepared, and unworthy of a Supreme Court seat.
