The Bengals just spent bookoos of money to replace the guy. There's your answer. I wouldn't trade anything for him other than a day three pick and honestly this is a good OL draft, so if they want to go that route just use the draft.

I'd need to see more of Tyler Smith at G before being able to determine if he is a Hall of Fame type talent there. He looked damn good at LT in a rookie year where he had no real practice time there until a week before the season. He's built like a prototype LT and moves exceptionally well. The other thing is the Cowboys drafted him where they did last year because they projected him to be a future LT. I don't think they were wrong on that based on what we saw last year.

To me, he is similar to larry Allen. He can play LT very well, but at LG he's better able to use his raw brute strength.

It's not the end of the world if the Cowboys keep him at LT, but my hunch is they'd prefer him to play LG. I think they are hoping Tyron stays healthy, but we know that he won't.

Those aren't all bad or even average players. Awuzie is a starter for a team that went to the SB. Diggs will get a huge contract, etc. By the way, Chidobe is still only 27 years old. There are guys in the draft who are 25 and 26 already.

a reminder why he so quickly vanished from the commentator role
I don't like OBJ's personality either. But Jerry seemed to be all in on him.

I find it curious that there seems to be no push toward resigning TY Hilton. I thought they would try. Now with Brandin Cooks on board, I think TY is out of here, but I thought he did good things in a really short time with the team.

I read that TY Hilton was open, but Dak didn't hit him.

Fehoko could develop into something, and we need to keep (I think) at least a couple of young cheap development type guys.

By the way, if there is a post on here about me comparing Tyler Smith's PFF ranking to Jonah Williams, then that post should be deleted. I thought I had a good point, but then as I researched more, and I realized I was wrong. I pressed the backspace key instead of delete. Sometimes I'll have posts on here that I meant to delete.

Like the Cooks trade considering what little we gave up and the fact Houston is paying a big chunk of his 2023 salary.

For whatever reason, teams never want to keep him but it doesnt appear to be anything off field related (never been arrested or even made any news I'm aware of for that kind of junk and he's been uber productive despite constant changes in QB and offensive schemes. Even playing with the shitty Houston Texans the last 3 seasons he had back to back years of 81 and 90 receptions to go along with 1150 and 1037 yds, and 6 tds each yr in 2020 and 2021. He's had 6 seasons of 1000+ yards and 4 seasons with 80+ receptions. Tom Brady supposedly liked him a lot the 1yr he was in NE.

He isnt as good as Amari Cooper IMO but he is vastly better than Noah Brown, and like Cee Dee he can play inside or outside. He still has speed and won't turn 30 until the end of September.

Nice addition, and overall two excellent, high value trades made to improve the team in the last week.

i like cooks for the team , by all accounts hes pretty fast and CONSISTENT. also hes been bouncing from team to team, and eating shit for a while now. now he hit i-45 north to DAL and guaranteed couldnt be happier to be playing on a contender again. you didnt spend shit to get him either, and got HOU to pay a portion of the salary...

stevie did not make that savvy fuckin deal and you cannot tell me that he did

i firmly believe that someone has been going rogue in the DAL front office. its a pretty well known tradition that jerry and stevie are aboard their mega yacht, relaxing and getting away for spring break. it happens every year around free agency.

getting gilmore is still crazy to me. how tf did DAL do this? dude is still good. won a super bowl. won a DPOY. adding that experience to a young talented secondary is gonna pay dividends .

and the team gave up shit for resources... this aint the work of the jones boys

Cooks pouted last year when he wasn’t traded, even missing a few practices, so his attitude is the only real red flag.

CZ is all up in arms over Hilton, Peters and Hankins.

They can re-sign any of those guys almost anytime they want, there's no rush on any of them because there's probably very little interest league-wide right now.. They are the type of guys you look to fill out your roster with after the draft or even during preseason.
