I'm pretty sure based on his comments Jimmy would have picked Junior Seau, although his own DT (Miami) Cortez Kennedy would have made it an interesting discussion I'm sure.
Jeez, I'm pretty sure he would've traded the #1 pick for a shitload of picks. A lot of teams wanted Jeff George that year.

The league and Goodell completely fucked the Lions with the schedule this weekend.

A Seattle win later today means the Lions have nothing to play for, and GB will waltz into the final playoff spot (which I am quite sure is what they wanted).

Had the league wanted to do the right thing, they'd have had Detroit-Green Bay LAST NIGHT and Tenn-Jax tonight, but noooooooo...they had to play favorites again and try to get A Rodge into the postseason. Guarantee you there will be fuckup officiating tonight in this game too.

They also completely botched this Bengals-Bills thing.

Everything Goodell gets involved with always ends up a fuck up.

Maybe, and Jimmy was a trader. Although he could have moved down a few spots and still ended up with Seau (as things turned out). James Francis and Lamar Lathon were the other two guys Jimmy sort of had a hard on for that year that he could have gotten had we had that other 1st. Glad that didn't happen.

I would have sold my soul for Trevor Lawrence when he came out of college. I would have given up a whole draft to pick him. But now that I've seen him play, he has to go up against the likes of Mahomes, Allen, Burrow and Herbert to make it to the SB. He's not at their level of arm talent and he certainly didn't carry the Jags last night with the playoffs on the line. If not for an untimely fumble by a backup scrub QB that you folks thought would beat us, and a lucky bounce that was returned for a TD, he'd be home for the playoffs.
your boy* wanted to do that to grab Payton Manning and was laughed out of the room by jeri & spawn

Holy shit dude, put down the fucking crack pipe.

The 1992 Cowboys were one of the best and most talented teams in the history of the league. The Jags are a 9-8 team that got into the playoffs because a guy ran a fumble back for a TD late in the game. If you want to say they remind you of something, pick the 1990 Cowboys because that's a far more comparable argument.

JFC

I'd say they were more reminiscent of the 1990 Cowboys who went 7-9 and you could tell their time was coming

that was right up there with Jerry not getting Paxton Lynch seven years ago. but Dak still sucks.
Jimmy did have a few flubs. Most people forget he drafted Rhondy Weston instead of his own guy Bubba McDowell

He traded 5 picks for Stan Smagala. Alexander Wright (same draft) was a complete bust. Mike Middleton was a bum.

Alonzo Highsmith trade was a dud too. bad knee I guess. Rob Awalt another miss.

But, didn't win the division orrrrrr beat last year's #1 seed in a must win for playoffs game. If I'm gonna change it to appease dbair's fervor, I MIGHT consider the 91 team. But the magic wasn't there yet. The vibe wasn't there.

The only people that had "doubt" about the Cowboys being good in 1992 were people that hated the team and "hoped" they wouldnt be good.

Everyone else knew that team was really, really good.

Just stop dude, you are making yourself look silly. It was a braindead comparison.
I guess you're actually just dumb. I'm giving you MY OWN PERCEPTION not some goofy shit about haters. Or an opinion about who thought they knew what. Nobody knew shit, to any degree of certainty.

I wasn't sold until they beat Philly in the second matchup. But was STILL skeptical they could go all the way. There WAS a team full of future hall of famers in the way, that was the #1 seed. All you can seem to remember is the results. You don't seem to be able to put yourself back there. Before the results happened and remember the VIBE. Which is all I'm comparing.

Giants apparently resting all key players today.

Unless we see a monumental upset, we're the 5th seed and going to Tampa.

Hopefully they get to Hurts enough to keep his shoulder nice and tender for the upcoming weeks

I would have given 2#1's for him even after the draft when he was at the end of his contact with the Colts. And I would have given up my whole draft for Manning too.

Another fucktard clown Goodell initiative.

Worst thing to ever happen to the NFL was this fucking woke idiot.

The next requirement that the woke NFL is going to implement is that every team has to hire at least one of the Alphabet Community. (Extra points if they are also anything other than a male Caucasian)
