I just wonder... What's his specialty. What's his area of expertise? What's his core philosophy? Where's his fingerprints on the team?

Same questions they had in GB before they fired him.

His specialty could very well be leadership and truly running the show on the field. The shit we expected of the Red Dolt when they took his play calling duties away. This team help it together when Dak went down and beat some good teams in the process.

And Rodgers got his way in GB and how's that working out? Their HC seemed lost yesterday in the post game presser.

I'm loving every minute of the debacle in GB. But it was coming regardless of the HC. When you sell your entire future for just one guy and completely kow-tow to him you get what you deserve.

That's a dude pushing too hard, trying to prove how much better he is than the next guy. Dak knows better than to be that over aggressive.
Lets hope so. Most times those kinds of throws don't get dropped.

I like him but he's dumb. The body slam should have been a penalty and if it was against a good team, you negate a good play. The takeaway from Goeff was another dumb one where he lost the football and Armstrong saved him. In this kid's case, there's a fine line between hero and goat.
He was actually down by contact and they moved the ball back.

The body slam thing looked worse live, the other angle you could tell he definitely held up on going full WWF on the guy.

Kid has enormous physical talent and is gonna keep getting better. I think we can all see why Quinn fell in love with the guy during his private workout.

Massive homerun getting this guy where we did in the draft.

If he isn't the best CB in football, he is not very far off.

And let's not mistake - this team has taken on the personality of the defense. Not the fatass slob HC.

It's Jimmy Johnson's pet theory - that an aggressive D especially the DL will infect the entire roster. And we're seeing it.

Jimmy's theory worked because he had a HOF QB, RB, WR and elite OL all in the prime, which got leads and controlled the clock almost every week.

Taking on the personality of the aggressive D didn't hurt their careers. Impossible to measure the effect of that. Plus you had maybe ONE 1st round pick in that "great wall" o-line? They were a bunch who way overachieved for what they were. Tex Schramm said Newton was "fat and lazy" for example. Jimmy's theory proves out quite a lot if you're watching for it.

Read his new book yet?

I was speaking to the part about selling the future for one guy and coddling said guy entire time.

THAT is very similar to what we did with #4
We've never been close or in any way comparable to what these idiots in GB have done. We at least can still keep a decent roster around our too-expensive QB. Which if you look, he's not even all that expensive anymore. Is he even top ten in salary?

They had no 1st rd pick OL's, Big E and Stepnoski were 3rd rd picks. Jimmy didnt draft Larry Allen (came in 1994) and he was the highest of the bunch in the 2nd. The unit was nasty as hell, worked their asses off and were EXTREMELY well coached by Tony Wise and then Hudson Houck.

The DL wasnt exactly loaded with early round picks either. They took Russell Maryland #1 overall (only because Rocket Ismail said he wanted too much money and went to Canada). Johnson traded for Tony Casillas (who was #2 overall by Atlanta but was shipped out for not too much after wanting bookoos of money from Atl and "retiring"), Tolbert was a 4th rd pick. Jimmie Jones was a 3rd rd pick, Leon Lett was a 7th he didnt draft Jim Jeffcoat or Chad Hennings, he traded for Charles Haley and in fact didnt draft a SINGLE DL in 1992 or 1993.

Our roster is better overall because we've drafted really well and made some tough business decisions on some other high dollar guys. We've spent peanuts in free agency our self and some of that the Jones boys acknowledge is because of the decision they made with Prescott.
