1) We have a really good defense, it won't be truly great though until they can stop the run better and tighten up some of those coverage holes that show up from time to time. While our opposing QB rating against is pretty good, opposing comp% is more towards middle of the pack. Detroit had too many guys wide open the other day. Hankins may help with the run defense a little, but Brown and Kearse are coming off bad games where guys easily got open against them.

2) I'm not convinced Quinn will be leaving. He might have as good a chance at being HC here next yr as for someone else.

He's always been a strong run defender, but the guy is pretty immobile at this point in his career. He is strictly a run down defender but if he can still hold the point of attack good enough then it was a low cost, low risk move that can help.
