the most disciplined team is going to go the furthest

i feel dallas cowboys have a tremendous bubble advantage here due to jerry jones's capacity to funnel in clean whores for the players

It’s going to be pretty much like every other season in that the team that stays the healthiest throughout the year typically ends up doing better in the end. IE the teams with the fewest injuries is usually in contention at the end of the year. This year that will still be the case but will take COVID into account. The team that can keep the highest number of its players healthy and free of COVID is probably going to be the one in the playoffs and beyond

When it comes to money, there's no stopping Jerry. Gotta respect that.
He'll have to have the roof open... 50 percent rule in Texas applies to open air venues.

I've always said the roof should always be open except in the most extreme weather conditions. It rankles me that it's typically always closed. Dome team pussification.

Well look at that

I see Carson Wentz is ahead of schedule for the season

It’s not even week 15-16 yet and he’s already injured

JALEN REAGOR
WR, PHILADELPHIA EAGLES

Eagles WR Jalen Reagor (shoulder) is expected to be out four weeks.
Reagor suffered a slight tear in his labrum that will not require surgery. The situation could change but it appears as though Reagor avoided a serious injury. With the NFL season starting in less than two weeks, Reagor appears set to miss some time early in the season. The Eagles currently have Alshon Jeffery (Lisfranc) on the active/PUP list as well. That leaves J.J. Arcega-Whiteside and DeSean Jackson as the starting outside receivers with Greg Ward playing slot. Rookies Quez Watkins and John Hightower could also get some run, especially if Arcega-Whiteside hasn't improved after his non-existent rookie season.

DERWIN JAMESDB, LOS ANGELES CHARGERS

Ian Rapoport reports that Chargers S Derwin James is going to miss "significant time" due to a meniscus injury.
Rapoport added that James will undergo further tests to determine an exact timetable. A meniscus trim would only cost him a month while a full repair would likely end his season. James was set to rebound from a quiet 2019 season that saw him play in just five games due to a foot injury. He was a dynamic playmaker as a rookie, recording 3.5 sacks and three interceptions. Pro Football Focus graded him as a top-10 safety. The Chargers will be without one of the most versatile defensive players until James is able to return to action. Whether that happens later this year or in 2021 is still unkown.

Coaches and front-office members will be permitted into the training facility the day after a game “provided they receive a negative POC test that morning.” But players not allowed into training facility on the day after game.

Latest challenge to COVID season: NFL not allowing players into training facilities the day after games, based on memo sent to teams today. Anyone playing Sunday can’t go in Monday. Exceptions made for players on short weeks with games Thursday or players who require medical care

Well this doesn’t bode well for sports in general

Looks like the last remaining teams that did plan on allowing fans in the stands might need to rethink

Some fans at the Chiefs game tested positive for Covid and now everyone seating nearby is in quarantine
