Against that team... it should have been even more than 28... That's a story!!
28 pts would be enough that GB would 0-9 before yesterday had every team scored that many.

28 was plenty enough to win had the defense did its job. Green Bay scored the most pts they have all season and Rodgers had by FAR his best game of the season. They didnt score 31 pts because our offense turned the ball over or special teams gave them incredibly short fields either.

Its easy to rip him today, he was not good to start the game and was not good in the 4th qtr.

That said, he did get us 28 pts which should have been plenty vs a bad football team that can't score points themselves. They lost more because the defense completely shit the bed yesterday than anything else.

This is some flawed reasoning right here. This is the new NFL where the Commanders can put up 28 points on an undefeated team. When a franchise QB (ie: elite) takes a lead into the 4th quarter, he can't shit the bed. You need some first downs....you need some clutch throws on 3rd down, Yes, the D gave up 14 points against a HoF QB. But you still need to move the chains. Dak made some great throws on Sunday. He also made some horrible throws. That's what he is. An average QB who's a one read QB, can't read a defense, stares his receivers down and cannot consistently carry the team.

Oh....and this narrative that he's a leader? He's throwing everyone under the bus. Some leader.....

28 pts is 28 pts Dodger.

They had the lead, the defense melted down.

28 pts should be more than enough to beat a team that coming in was averaging 17.

The defense can't stop the run to save their life, that has nothing to do with who is playing QB here.

And Dodger before you go there, in no way shape or form am I suggesting I'm satisfied with Prescott or even believe at this point he's the real answer.

But we lost yesterday mainly because our defense played like total shit. And they did it against a bad football team.

There is no "new NFL." It's the same NFL it's always been, where anything can and does happen. On any given Sunday isn't just a phrase. And yes, elite quarterbacks have always shit the bed. And nobody jobbers have always shocked the world.

This perception that morons like Cowherd try to foist, that there's been some big sea change towards offense in the league is just a stupid narrative. It's always been cyclical. Rules changes that favor the offense, trying to make the game more like Madden under the cloak of "safety," get caught up with in a year or so, by defenses. We're seeing the latest "down" cycle, this season where scoring overall is down, passing yards is down, and we're seeing real football reassert itself.

Couple dozen franchise guys? Out of 32 teams? Just stop buddy.......
If you understand what a franchise guy is. It's a guy you have that you keep, you don't take calls on. That you're happy with. There's at least 20 of those playing QB in the league, year in and year out.

There's maybe four or five elite guys, and 7 or 8 below average guys. The jobbers.

The defense had 2 turnovers and then was put in a trickbag with costly INT's that GB turned into 14 points off those turnovers. This was a game where the D couldn't bail out an average QB. The running game couldn't bail him out either and the 4th Q and OT stats were atrocious. Yes, the D hasn't been great and they allow a lot of yards on the ground, but they feasted off of sacks and turnovers. All Dak had to do was move the chains in the 4th Q and he couldn't. Even a FG would have been big.....

Or maybe the defense should stop teams on 2nd and 22 and 4th and 7

I get it, we had two turnovers. Those were both in the first half though. In the 4th qtr the score was 28-14 and the defense couldn't get a stop. It's supposed to be the strength of the team and for the past two games, it has not been.

28 pts should have won this game. We weren't facing the Chiefs, Bills or Dolphins here. It was an injury decimated team that came in playing like total shit and having lost 5 games in a row.

So because scoring is down a point this year compared to last year that implies that teams are "catching up" with the rules changes? Scrub QB's are throwing at a 60% completion percentage. It's absolutely the a new NFL compared to chat I grew up with.

You don't see the cycles? Air Coryell was gonna change the league. West Coast offense was gonna change the league. Run and shoot was gonna change the league. Air raid was gonna change the league. Spread was gonna change the league. These new dynamics QBs were gonna change the league.

None of it did, not even with all the rule changes helping the offense for the last 50 years.

Defense always catches up and real football always reasserts itself.

If you're playing QB in the NFL you're pretty good at it. If you're a STARTING QB in the NFL you're damn good at it. If you're starting year after year you're a franchise guy.

I know, understand what you mean. That's definitely how teams have evolved towards descriptions of QB's.

At one point, a true "franchise" QB was Troy Aikman, John Elway, Dan Marino etc etc. There were not many of THOSE.

Now there's are almost NONE of those, but team's believe if they have an every year starter, that he's their "franchise" QB

Elite is your Aikmans, Elways, Marinos, Payton Mannings. The truly rare guys. Those have always been called elite. But yeah those are also the ones you'd use the franchise tag on if you had contract issues. (nyuk)

Crickets.... Dak has the haters in stealth mode lol. "He gets paid too much. He can't beat good teams. He doesn't have a good arm" blah blah AND blah. Once again, Prescott shut the haters up! :popcorn

What's the story now?! I'll wait!

Count me in that group. I wonder if we should have kicked the tires on Bo Levi Mitchell or drafted Will Grier. What might we have in Mike White? Prescott's accuracy is troubling. Thoughts?
So is your silly thread/post. YAWN!
