Build first, ask questions later: Trump’s ballroom puts Supreme Court in a bind

Two lower court federal judges ruling against Trump means nothing. Democrats shopped for 2 courts where they knew they would get TDS suffering judges. The Supreme Court has in the past thrown out similar cases ruled on by liberal lower courts judges.

In this case, I don't see where the requirement is for congress to approve this construction. It is privately funded so there is no need for congress to allocate public funds, and the president does have the authority over the executive branch which I assume includes his own residence.

Democrats fighting to stop the construction of the ball room is just another example of how they only have one platform - get Trump. As the administration has stated many times, the fact that we do not have a ball room other than tents that cost millions to store and erect when needed is a national embarrassment. Maybe Trump could have built something a little less,,,Trumpish, but the need for such a building is without question I think. And by building it with private donations, it saves us all a tiny bit of tax money.

"At this point, the Supreme Court isn’t being asked to issue a final ruling on the ballroom’s legality. But if it allows the administration to continue building in the interim, the project could be all but done before the court case reaches its conclusion."

and it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if in the future when the lunatic dems or DSA masquerading as dems regain power, they tear it down out of spite with ZERO opposition from any judges, media, etc
btw, Trump isn't the only one to use this tactic. Democrats do the same thing. They did it with gay marriage. After California voters voted against gay marriage, and all the California courts upheld the constitutional vote against gay marriage, a single judge in SF ruled on a Friday evening the vote of the people was unconstitutional and refused to stay his decision pending further appeals. Democrats kept state offices open over the weekend to marry as many gay couples as possible so the the Supreme Court would basically have to undo thousands of gay marriages when they finally ruled weeks later.

I guess Democrats now hate the idea when it is used against them.

He travels all over the world and has first hand seen other government's facilities compared to ours, and what most of them have supposedly dwarfs the thing they use now. As they hae also noted, there is definitely safety features that need to be incorporated (for the good of everyone attending events, not just the Pres) because of the ridiculous times we live in.

As he pointed out numerous times, these changes don't just benefit him. They'd be there for all future Presidents. If Obama had wanted to do this the media would have camped out 24/7 to report on the progress on it. "Oh look, another board was just put up!!!! Thank God Obama had the wisdom to pursue this!!!! And that new stall is perfect for Big Mike to take a massive dump in every day!!!!!"
