The shooting itself, by the "letter of the law" is most probably justified. But I don't think it was warranted. Just my opinion.
There's another angle where you can see the 3rd cop right in front of her, she tries to run him over.

I keep getting that "file not found" when I try and post them but they are out there to see on X/Twitter.

I don't know if the car had an illegal in it or a protestor. In any event, one ICE officer goes to open her door which he probably shouldn't do unless she was the suspect (illegal). IF the officer was going to open the door to make an arrest, then it's almost worse, as that is a very poor tactical arrest. And the guy that stepped in front of the car created the risk to his own safety. They'll get cleared, but this absolutely wasn't necessary, especially if she was just an idiot protestor.

And to make matters worse, I'd bet the fatal shot was the one the ICE officer took as she was driving by. The dude shoots right into the driver's side when he's out of the way.

I agree, just because you can, doesn't mean you should

Based on what Ive seen thus far, I'm failing to understand why it had to go to this extreme

There's a PR component to the deportation issue so ICE, et al needs to be just as vigilant using PR as other tactics in their arsenal

There's always a PR component to law enforcement. I used to preach it back in my day. Take the FBI for example. The ideologues who ran that agency completely destroyed it's reputation and credibility. ICE doesn't employ the brightest of bulbs. Do we all agree with their mission? Absolutely. Is it a tough job, especially in today's anti-Orange Man environment? Absolutely. Do I think the agent should be charged. I do not. But the whole thing was very avoidable and I never like to second guess these things. Had it been a fugitive or a wanted suspect, then I give a greater deference to officers because they had to get a dangerous criminal off the street. But a protestor? In that situation? Sorry, I just can go along with it.

Before he does that (or even gets near the door) he orders her out of the car, and she refused. It's clearly on the audio.

He shoots straight at her as she drives towards him. I have no idea which shot actually "killed" her but he is clearly shooting in self defense.

They asked her to get out of the car, she wouldn't.

An officer then tries to open the door, she instead hits the gas and drives right towards another agent.

I don't know what people expect law enforcement to do in this day and time, there's too many examples of extreme left wing violence (and murder) against people on the right and against law enforcement as well. He has every right in the world to defend himself. She's driving a fucking SUV for crying out loud.

If people dont want this stuff to happen, then they need to quit acting like fucking idiots. It's not that fucking hard.

Maybe the officer should have just let the loon run over him?
