I think the penalty for not showing up should be raised to $5000/day from the $500/day.

I've been blissfully ignorant about politics most of my life so I'm not too familiar with this redistricting (aka gerrymandering?) stuff.

From what little I know, it sounds pretty shady but perhaps someone can chime in as to why its not?

My suspicions are the Dems have pulled the same crap but when they do it there's no outrage on the end plus little to no coverage by the media so they're just whining now and trying to act virtuous in the process because they dont have the numbers to do it themselves but if they did, the current outrage would be coming from the opposite side of the aisle.

all those in the know, please enlighten me where I'm off

I used to listen to Howard on the radio when I was commuting to work in the 1980s and 1990s. There was a time when he was funny. They used to do bits and skits that had me laughing in my car.

Somewhere along the line he lost that. He started with the constant bathroom humors and awkward sex talk when interviewing guests and it became boring and repetitious. I stopped listening in the 1990s and never missed him.

He also used to be more of a centrist on politics. For example I remember when Reagan bombed Libya and France refused to allow our bombers to fly over their country. Howard had Gary call a number in France to find someone to talk too. When he finally got some random French guy on the phone Howard started yelling at the guy. It was funny at the time but was also a demonstration of patriotism by Howard. Then he turned into a stupid liberal. The socialist Democrats who left free radio to take hundreds of millions of dollars from satellite radio paid for by subscriptions. Another liberal hypocrite.

Howard is 71 now, and he still tries to play the part of a hip but ordinary guy. People justifiably got sick and tired of his schtick.
