Apparently it's written into their laws that he does have the authority to have them arrested.I like that much better than arresting them, I hope there’s grounds to do so!

I assume those you hired are legal? I have no issue with hiring legal residents, Hispanic or otherwise. To me any American that wants to work, take responsibility for themselves and their families, and pay taxes is just an American regardless of that identity crap. Judge them by how they work not by what they are.Not true, I’ve hired several that I know of and Pay pretty much everyone a minimum of $20 an hour. The main reason I hire these guys and so many Hispanics in general is they’re bad ass people and very hard workers plus most of the construction labor force is Hispanic in Texas. Further, I don’t see a lot gringos or other races offering to do a lot of the jobs I need done. I don’t really care who I hire as long as they do a great job, communicate well and they’re good to work with. Usually, if they have all of the above, you’re not gonna get rock bottom prices and that’s OK because it makes my life easier.
“This truancy ends now,” Abbott said in a letter sent to each of the departed members. “The derelict Democrat House members must return to Texas and be in attendance when the House reconvenes at 3:00 PM on Monday, August 4, 2025.”
If they are not back by then, Abbott said, he would initiate legal action to remove them from office. He cited a nonbinding 2021 legal opinion from Attorney General Ken Paxton, who said it would be up to a court to decide whether a lawmaker who had left the state to deny quorum had forfeited their office. If a court were to decide that the legislators had vacated their offices, Abbott would have to call an election to replace the members.

Gov. Greg Abbott threatens Texas House Democrats with removal from office for fleeing state
The governor also alleged absconding Democrats may have committed felonies by fundraising to cover the $500-a-day fines they will face under House rules.www.texastribune.org
I thought I read he doesnt have to actually hold immediate elections, that he can appoint replacements until the next open election. Hilarious if true.So the Texas House issued arrest warrants for the Dems....warrants that will never be executed. Expel them and hold elections to fill their vacancies or shut the fuck up. This is the way...........

On the other hand, illegals that work here off the books, or by using fake or stolen social security numbers, are not contributing to our society. It is long established fact that illegals working in low skilled jobs lower wages for unskilled American workers.
We need laws that respect American workers, and we have to uphold those laws. Just about every other country in the world protects its workers and the US should be no different.
even if he pulls this off, haven't they successfully delayed the vote and stopped the redistricting?“This truancy ends now,” Abbott said in a letter sent to each of the departed members. “The derelict Democrat House members must return to Texas and be in attendance when the House reconvenes at 3:00 PM on Monday, August 4, 2025.”

The special session continues until the Governor says it's done.even if he pulls this off, haven't they successfully delayed the vote and stopped the redistricting?
I've hurled a lot of FUs to Texas Democrats today, every time they came on TV to talk about Texas Redistricting and why they went AWOL to not show up at the Capital today for Legislation. Those Fuckers said they were going to stay out of state for the next two weeks.even if he pulls this off, haven't they successfully delayed the vote and stopped the redistricting?
