Not true, I’ve hired several that I know of and Pay pretty much everyone a minimum of $20 an hour. The main reason I hire these guys and so many Hispanics in general is they’re bad ass people and very hard workers plus most of the construction labor force is Hispanic in Texas. Further, I don’t see a lot gringos or other races offering to do a lot of the jobs I need done. I don’t really care who I hire as long as they do a great job, communicate well and they’re good to work with. Usually, if they have all of the above, you’re not gonna get rock bottom prices and that’s OK because it makes my life easier.
I assume those you hired are legal? I have no issue with hiring legal residents, Hispanic or otherwise. To me any American that wants to work, take responsibility for themselves and their families, and pay taxes is just an American regardless of that identity crap. Judge them by how they work not by what they are.

On the other hand, illegals that work here off the books, or by using fake or stolen social security numbers, are not contributing to our society. It is long established fact that illegals working in low skilled jobs lower wages for unskilled American workers.

We need laws that respect American workers, and we have to uphold those laws. Just about every other country in the world protects its workers and the US should be no different.

“This truancy ends now,” Abbott said in a letter sent to each of the departed members. “The derelict Democrat House members must return to Texas and be in attendance when the House reconvenes at 3:00 PM on Monday, August 4, 2025.”

If they are not back by then, Abbott said, he would initiate legal action to remove them from office. He cited a nonbinding 2021 legal opinion from Attorney General Ken Paxton, who said it would be up to a court to decide whether a lawmaker who had left the state to deny quorum had forfeited their office. If a court were to decide that the legislators had vacated their offices, Abbott would have to call an election to replace the members.

So the Texas House issued arrest warrants for the Dems....warrants that will never be executed. Expel them and hold elections to fill their vacancies or shut the fuck up. This is the way...........

I thought I read he doesnt have to actually hold immediate elections, that he can appoint replacements until the next open election. Hilarious if true.

Could be......make it happen. But he won't. All this is for show and Abbott won't do shit. The arrest warrants won't lead to shit. Fuck Texas......

No I just pointed out 2 instances where I found out they weren't legal.

One was married to an American for over 7 years and still hasn't gotten citizenship, despite spending thousands and counting on immigration attorneys. Thats way too long and difficult and expensive. However, Ive heard rumors that the American wives are part of the problem and gum up the process to control their husbands so it may not be so black and white. Plus I'm pretty sure he didnt get to the US legally so who knows what that does to the process.

The other was from Honduras and married to a Canadian and somehow they ended up in my neck of the woods. This was like 2 decades ago and he didnt work for us too long once we found out he wasnt legal and there was no easy path to citizenship. He ended up taking care of a single man with no kids for over a decade. He and his wife took care of him constantly including bathing, feeding, etc and when he died, they inherited his house and I believe millions in cash and other assets. Given what they had to do, I think they earned it and was happy for them. He's an awesome guy I've stayed friends with from day one. He moved back to Honduras and bought a bunch of land and built a huge house and is living large (by Honduras standards). He got bored and came back to the US a coupe of years ago and told me he had to pay almost 10K to the cartels in order to enter the US, he says the cartel control all entry and make a fortune in the process.

even if he pulls this off, haven't they successfully delayed the vote and stopped the redistricting?

I've hurled a lot of FUs to Texas Democrats today, every time they came on TV to talk about Texas Redistricting and why they went AWOL to not show up at the Capital today for Legislation. Those Fuckers said they were going to stay out of state for the next two weeks.

I think the penalty for not showing up should be raised to $5000/day from the $500/day.
We will pass the map no matter how long it takes. FU Dems and FU DNC Nationwide.
