I would've preferred Clabo, but at least we're doing something.

We have supposedly reached out to Clabo as well.

Cowboys, Jags reach out to Tyson Clabo

It didn’t take long for tackle Tyson Clabo to start hearing from teams after he was released by the Falcons.

Ian Rapoport of NFL.com reports that the Cowboys and Jaguars have already reached out to Clabo about the possibility of adding him to their offensive lines. Both teams make a lot of sense as a potential landing spot.

The Cowboys currently have Doug Free and Jermey Parnell at right tackle and neither of them impressed during the 2012 season. There have been conflicting reports about whether Free would restructure his deal, which is set to count $10.02 million against the cap, or take a pay cut in order to stay with the team. Clabo’s availability could speed up a decision on that front.

The Jaguars don’t even have the limited comfort of a Free/Parnell duo and they’ve admitted to having no clue who would be their right tackle if the season were starting anytime soon. New General Manager Dave Caldwell knows Clabo from their days in Atlanta, something that could help the tackle find a new home in the south.

Clabo will likely be hearing from other teams in the coming days and weeks since there is no shortage of teams with shortages on their offensive lines. How many of them will be pushing to make a deal before finding out whether they can land a good prospect in the draft remains to be seen, but it is hard to believe Clabo’s going to have a tough time finding a new home.

Clabo would be preferred, but I think Winston is solid and would be more than happy with this signing.

Odd. I don't trust shefter at all.

Mickey said on the blitz last night that he was told the cowbys were going to sit on the money they have left because of what they need for next year.

Maybe free wont budge on a pay cut and has to be released.

Don't trust shefter though, just like lacanfora wo is wrong a lot I think they are just putting shit out there for the agent contacts to drum up interest.

It's a false report because Broaddus says so? Feh.

He is wrong all the time also.

He and Mickey did say last week that free could take a pay cut or they could go to a guy like Winston the weekend of the draft if they don't get a tackle in the first two rounds.

FREE SUCKS! Him taking a pay cut is not going to make him a better player.

So apparently he told pat kirwan on Sirius he wants 3-4 million per year.

Basically I think u can cross him off here.

That's about all we have for the year. If we signed him we would have to forfeit the draft.

No we won't. Free and spears come off June 1st.

No money issues for that.

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap10...c-winston-dallas-cowboys-have-mutual-interest

The Dallas Cowboys finally might be prepared to admit their $32 million mistake in extending right tackle Doug Free's contract two years ago.

A source who has spoken with free agent Eric Winston and a Cowboys source have both told NFL.com's Ian Rapoport on Monday that there is mutual interest between the two sides. A source who has spoken to Winston adds that talks are "heating up."

Although the Cowboys also have looked into former Atlanta Falcons right tackle Tyson Clabo, Rapoport is told this "doesn't necessarily mean" the team is ready to cut ties with Free.
