Why not let Romo call the plays himself? The only time the offense moved the ball last year, was when they went to hurry up and he was directing traffic.
I know the obvious downside is that he seems to have enough on his plate with his decision making. It may not be a good idea to add to the load.
Garrett obviously has lost whatever he had going in 2007. He can't call a game to save his life. I'm a huge Garrett hater. He can't manage a game for shit. Clock management, play calling, and decision making are all lacking. One thing I will give him is, the team hasn't quit on him. He's getting another year, but he needs to be stripped of play calling.
There aren't many, if any, viable options out there. Bill Callahan? Give me a break.
