50 years ago today. Austria's Toni Fritsch slots over the game-winning FG as time expires to defeat the Eagles...



There is a funny story behind this one. As they were lining up for the FG the Eagles players were shouting at Fritsch, "MISS IT! MISS IT!!" To which Dave Edwards replied, "You're wasting your time fellas. He doesn't speak a word of English."

By the way we lost this game in OT 30-24 despite getting 4 interceptions and 6 total turnovers.

The next week we'd lose on MNF to a bad Chiefs team, we had 7 turnovers ourselves that night.

Apparently Parcells was the first player cut by the Lions in training camp after complaining that it was too hot to practice.
