Some NFL players have been born with more than 10 fingers due to a condition called polydactyly. - For instance, J.J. Weaver, a linebacker for the Carolina Panthers, was born with six fingers on his right hand.
- Similarly, former New York Jets tight end Chris Herndon was born with 12 fingers (an extra pinky finger on each hand), though they were surgically removed when he was an infant.
- Most recently, New York Giants rookie defensive back Korie Black revealed that he was also born with an extra finger on each hand which were subsequently removed shortly after birth.
