Is Stephon Gilmore washed up? Has anyone seen his play in Indy?

He graded out as a top-10 starting CB last yr.

Prior to last season he had a knee surgery that he had put off for several seasons. He said he felt best he had in yrs.

We saw him against us in Indy game and he was very good.

IMHO, Jourdan Lewis is better than DaRon Bland. Anthony Brown can also play the slot.

Brown and Lewis are not going to be here next yr. Both have devastating injuries to recover from and Lewis has a fairly high cap charge for a part time player who almost assuredly won't be ready to start camp.

Pretty good day for Cowboys defense, I would imagine Dan Quinn is quite thrilled to keep Wilson and LVE and get a solid #2 CB to play opp Diggs.

and they add to a position group that was already in decent shape, with a young all-pro pro bowl player already in place

I haven't seen the official announcement, but they are saying Zeke is going to be released.

The move could come as soon as Wednesday afternoon when the league’s 2003 calendar officially begins at 3 p.m. and teams are required to be under the salary cap.

Elliott’s future has been in doubt since the end of the 2022 season.

Elliott, who came to the Cowboys as the No. 4 pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, is set to count $16.4 million against the 2023 salary cap with a non guaranteed $10.4 million base salary.

Cutting Elliott saves the Cowboys $4.86 million. If they designate him a post-June 1 cut, they would save $10.9 million
