The Cowboys are consistently one of the highest wagered sports teams yr over yr, both for and against.

The officials are 100% part of the corruption because I whole heartedly believe a fairly large number of them wager on games themselves. The league ignores it because it would absolutely destroy the money in the league from gambling, fantasy football, ticket sales and ultimately advertisers.

That said, the stuff they called on the Foreskins last night was the same or even less than what he faced on a week to week basis here as a Cowboy. That stuff is not explainable as "oops I missed it" and many of the calls were right in front of their face. Parsons is not any more dominant today than he was the last 4 years.

The only thing that changed was his unform color.
And I'm open to the possibility that gambling has been affecting the outcome of games for many years before the league embraced it. Even if it's just something done to either help a team cover the spread or make sure it doesn't. The spitting incident, when you see it from a more distant camera looks as scripted and rehearsed as a WWE promo.

I'm watching the lines now and what gets my attention is all of the large point spreads start going down as bets against it load up. Then these are the games that wind up with one or more weird things happen. The other thing I watch is the over and under on combined points. See some of the same stuff you can see when people load up on the under. It's never the over. Because not scoring points is infinitely easier than making sure you score them. Also easy to just sort of give up more points in order to make the over.

Anyhow, to me it's tainted now.

OK. But why are you quoting me? I didn't mention you.........
To give my new viewpoint on gambling affecting outcomes. Direct response to what you were saying. I also now even think it's been going on at LEAST since Draft Kings and other easy online betting apps starting getting millions of members.

And by the way, how are the refs, and MAYBE to a lesser extent the league not be in on it? I mean, the refs are the ones making the calls/non-calls. Are the bookies throwing the flags?
It's not just officials, it's players too. The spitting incident just looks staged as I've already said and in fact, called out immediately as such.

On paper this is a game we should win, Having said that, we all know the game is won or lost on the field. Although the Cowboys played pretty well the first week against the Eagles, I have learned not to put too much stock into one game. As a whole, the picture of any team begins to become clearer after 4-5 games into the season. The game preparation by the coaching staff in week one was solid, although I think Eberflus should have put a spy on Hurts after his first break away run. Liafu comes to mind. Anyway, I would like to see a dominating performance across the board before getting too excited. This means, solid run/pass game that is balanced. Strong run defense. No penalties, especially stupid ones… you hear me George Pickens. Shotty needs to coach with swagger. Coach aggressively. Mix it up and for Gods sake please use lots of pre snap motion, No Jr High offense. Spread the ball around and make sure Dak is not holding on to the ball. The Cowboys have tons of talent on both sides of the ball. We have a young team that appears capable of winning now. We still need a vocal dawg ( Michael Irviin, Ray Lewis type) to get tough when things are getting challenging during the game. We still need that leader that absolutely hates to lose. Let’s all pray we are 1-1 after Sunday!
