Once upon a time guys like Doug Williams, Jeff Hostetler, Trent Dilfer and Nick Foles were Super Bowl winners too

Sorry Amigo. I think you're dead wrong on this one and you had to dig pretty for this silly reply. Manning won the SB twice and was SB MVP both times. He made some clutch throws when it mattered.

I'd take a QB #1 overall if we end up with 2 SB's, all day....every day. And then let people mock it years later. The problem with Eli is that people compare him to his brother who was a better overall QB but Eli has the rings. Give me that guy.......

The Giants scored 4 tds TOTAL vs the Pats in those two super bowls.

Their defense was the reason they won both those games, that and the Pats (who were resoundingly better both years) probably took them lightly. The 2011 Giants team is probably the biggest fluke champion in the history of the league. They barely had a winning record during the regular season and actually gave up more points than they scored for the season.

See post #1043

Eli was along for the ride both times. Yes he had some timely good plays, but their defense is why they won both those games (especially 2007) and the Giants offense "lit up" the Pats defense for a grand total of two tds in each game.

Eli is one of the most vastly overrated players in league history. If he had any other last name nobody would say anything about him.

My favorite Cowboy from current squad.
May be an image of 3 people, people playing football and text that says 'MLFootball @_MLFootball HELL OF A STORY #Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey was drafted in the 1st round of the MLS draft, but he struggled and decided to stop playing soccer and use his software engineering degree. While watching the #NFL with his wife, they witnessed a kicker miss, and Aubrey s wife said... 17 G হবসনসােে'

....Brandon could make that kick.

Brandon then began learning how to kick field goals and started working as an engineer during the day and practicing at night for multiple years.

After a tryout, a USFL team gave him their starting kicker job. He became a national headline for his massive leg and signed with the Cowboys.

Brandon Aubrey is now one of the best kickers in the league. Remarkable.

Dak can have double the amount of passing yards and he wouldn't be anywhere near the best in Dallas history without leading his team to a ring or two. Anyone that's older than 40 or 50 knows he's not in the same league as Troy, let alone Roger. Not even close. Whoever wrote this is a retard.............

He made a 65 ft putt to win a golf match. Stuff is diffrunt this time.
And daboyz made a 60 ft putt last year. "Stuff" isn't "diffrunt" at all! 🤣

1) 13 years ago Kyle Williams fumbles the punt return in overtime & the ball is recovered by the Giants to set up the game winning Field Goal to send them to the Super Bowl. Had nothing to do w/Eli. Just luck.

2)
  • David Tyree's "Helmet Catch" in Super Bowl XLII: This incredible catch is perhaps the most famous in Super Bowl history. Eli Manning escaped pressure and heaved a long pass downfield to David Tyree. Tyree secured the ball against his helmet while falling to the ground, somehow maintaining possession despite a defender's challenge. This impossible play was a pivotal moment in the drive that led to the Giants' upset victory over the undefeated New England Patriots.20250705_150507.jpg
3)
  • Mario Manningham's catch in Super Bowl XLVI: On the first play of a crucial drive in the fourth quarter, Eli Manning launched a deep pass down the sideline. Mario Manningham made a spectacular catch between two Patriots defenders, keeping his feet in bounds for a critical gain. This play jump-started the drive that would ultimately lead to the game-winning score for the Giants. Some even argue this was the greatest catch in Super Bowl history.20250705_150123.jpg
Both Eli's SB wins were due to spectacular catches by Giants WR's. Some fans claim Eli put the ball where no opponent can reach it when Manningham made that catch.

Had Manningham NOT put his feet down, No Ring For You Eli. Eli won both SBs by 3 points & 4 points due to his WR's. Unlike his brother Peyton, who dominated both SB's, 29-17 vs Chicago & 24-10 vs Panthers. Peyton won because of his performance in the entirety of both SB's & not lucky catches by his WR's.

Eli was never the QB the media made him out to be.

Nothing personal bro but ya might wanna check that 2nd SB performance by Peyton. I'm not even a stats guy but Peyton was somewhat awful.
It was definitely a defensive victory for the Broncos over the Panthers.
Just keeping it real.
