OK this is not directly Cowboys related, but it does have some relevance.

Has anyone ever seen a prominent local Dallas sportswriter ever go after Jerry and Spawn like this? Clowns have a 30 yrs track record for absolute failure and saying stupid shit and other than some soft ball criticism here and there they are hardly touched at all.

Why have we not tried to resign Eric Kendricks? He has a lot of good football left in him. I’m not sold on current linebacker group especially with Overshown out for awhile.

Maybe we're lookin at trade deadlines and such? You definitely have a point.

I just think in all this offseason hoopla that in reality there are serious question marks regarding our defense. We need a bonafide true bad ass 1 technique. Tired of seeing Mazi Smith on skates. Just adding a true 1 would make the entire defense better. Linebacker corp is suspect. Cornerback is still a question mark with the injuries. Wouldn’t mind bringing back Stephon Gilmore for depth . Then there is always to lingering doubts about Dak Prescott. His track record in big games is terrible. During regular season he is a stat king. Not so much during playoffs. Last year he really sucked before he was injured. I know this sounds crazy, but when Arch Manning enters the draft I would do everything I could do in trades to go get him. We still need a bonafide super star at QB.

Not needed.

They signed Jack Sanborn (who played MLB for Eberflus and Borgonzi in Chicago) traded for Kenneth Murray and then drafted Shemar James (who Eberflus loved during the draft process). They just drafted Liufau last yr (who looked solid as a rookie) and they still have Damone Clark, who reporters say has looked really good in the new scheme.

It sounds crazy only because right now, nobody knows if he is any good or not. Let alone if he is worth a top draft pick or has "bonafide super star" like potential.

For whatever reason, he was not good enough to completely unseat Quinn Ewers as the starter down there, even though there was immense fan pressure on Sarkisian to do it.

Dallas Cowboys

Another year, another simmering contract situation for the Cowboys. The Micah Parsons negotiation will be front and center when the team lands in Oxnard, Calif., for training camp. That said, I think their new head coach, Brian Schottenheimer, is a good fit to handle it, given the culture he’s started to build and will be a better fit in the role than people might expect. If young linemen Tyler Guyton, Cooper Beebe and Tyler Booker come along, Dallas should be in the playoff mix.

And that's a point I keep missing - in Eberflus we trust.

This is a GREAT read and covers how OL guru Duke Manyweather works with our Cowboys OL. It also details what he has them working on specifically. Interesting commentary to say the least.

Very valid point. I’ll revise….if he turns out like his two uncles or even close I would try to go get him.

Eli had next to nothing to do with either of those fluke wins
Survived the savage pass rush to get the ball downfield. Ultimately Belechick's vaunted defenses of the era could not stop Eli in the biggest games. It's a fact of record.
