So Broaddus is saying that the DL were playing with their pad level too high. That's one reason I mentioned Lampkin's (for Rams) height. He had great tape. But GM's shied away because of his height. But he always wins the leverage game because of it.
they all got completely blown off the ball, especially in the 2nd half...it was like parting the red sea almost every play

And Broaddus just said Mazi is not good enough. Apparently, Mazi did play (unless I am not understanding Broaddus' comments.

We gone WIN SB 60, Pally. BOOKIT!
I know you're joking. But IMO, it is Jerry's Pollyanna attitude that prevents this team from having a real rebuild. rams did it. They look good now. They went for it. They won the SB. They blew it up. And they are back in the mix.

I'm sure we will look much better with our true starters. I'm sure we will. But right now, I am not confident that we are not the worst team in the division.

Who is our Nickel? It's an important position. Many teams are more than 2 deep at WR. So if we can't run the ball to eat clock, and our D gets lit up, it's going to be tough.

Micah wears down toward the latter part of the season and guys like Mialotta have his number. He needs to be a LB so he can be fresh. Even Lawrence Taylor didn't lien up[ at DE. Micah will start off like a HOF player, then around game 12 fade.

IDK, we shall see. My crystal ball isn't always right. Everyone is lucky I am not the GM. Cuz if I could get 3 number ones, I'd trade Micah, hire another person to work with Will McClay (maybe he already has enough) and tell him to get to work. Use AI to help sort through the data.

I'd have fans screaming at me. But if you notice, ever since "The Spawn" has had more control, Jerry doesn't really gamble like he used to.

By the way, Broaddus is basically saying Milton SUCKS! He has had more than enough reps in practice.

Well, Bryan left me with the impression that he did. He even said Mazi is likely looking for a way out. He implied Mazi doesn't like football.
he might not like football and he might be looking to get out, but he did not see the field today at any point

dont care anything about winning, just wanted to see some progress

we didnt
It's hard for me to tell "progress" off the TV. But I'd like to see a couple players jump off the screen. Maybe see Mafah (who I wanted on the team to make a few nice power runs, etc.

It was a pretty poor showing, the inaccuracy was eye opening. He missed alot of fairly easy throws. Flournoy probably would have had a career game if Milton could have hit him on a few of the ones where he was wide open

He threw one bad pick on a deep ball into double coverage, he had another ball that should have been a length of field pick 6. He botched a 6 inch QB sneak (we got lucky the play was not reviewed, he didnt come close to making it), he also had another scramble where he failed to put the ball in the right hand to cross the line to gain, and we had to punt.

Then he get hurt (elbow) on a handoff late in the game and did not return. On the previous drive he did have 3 or 4 of his best throws of the game (including a nice throw for a TD) but overall, it was a poor game.

Mafah looked good I thought, he was always moving forward even when there wasnt much of a hole, he also caught a couple of throws. His bets run of the night got wiped out by an OL penalty.

Flournoy looked good and Jalen Brooks had a nice night. Deuce looked good on very limited runs and also had a really good run wiped out by a hold.

On defense, other than Liufau and rookie LB James, DT Perrion Winfrey and maybe some good plays by Mukuamu (incl an awesome interception) the defense was complete garbage.

Aubrey was money as usual.

So my question is how bad is Mazi for Broaddus to talk about him that way and he didn't even play? I heard him say 'Mazi isn't good enough".

well there have been whispers he has not been good in camp, then he got hurt again but came back a day or two later...I dont know if he participated in the scrimmage Tuesday or not

but he was not on the field after the opening kickoff (Rams had the ball first). Winfrey and Toia were the two starting DT's. Earnest Brown and Denzel Daxon seemed to get most of the snaps in the 2nd half, rookie DT Akingsbesote played some and was awful too...Toia was really bad

The Rams commentators were talking about how Milton holds the ball too long and that leads to inaccuracy because he has to fire it in.

My hope is that it's coachable. Someone needs to get on his ass in practice and scream, "Out, out, out. Get the ball out." But I worry Schotty is more worried about making sure everyone is friends.

Regardless, I DO NOT want to trade a pick for a QB. I KNOW YOU DO NOT LIEK SANDERS. But he looked okay and he was 4th on their depth chart, which means he got very few reps. We could have had him had we not thrown away the pick.

We have to keep our picks and be realistic. We are not going to win the SB! There are at least 10 to 15 teams better than the Cowboys. We'd need for those teams to suffer massive injuries.

So trading away a pick for a backup that another team thinks sucks ass, NOPE. I'd go after Dillon Gabriel if he is cut and we have a a shot at him on waivers (no picks needed), but he will likely be gone.

Speaking of Aubrey, apparently, The Jags have a kicker making them from 70+ now.

Sanders is a flub dude. You say you dont want to trade a pick for a backup but Sanders would have cost a pick to draft, and he is a waste of time.

He played against the worst defense in the league last night and they sat almost all of their starters. The best play he had was a one handed catch by one of his receivers

He is everything that's wrong with sports athletes today...never had to compete for a job in college (something daddy even announced, that he would be the starter no matter what) and then teams were completely turned off by his terrible attitude during the interview processes.

Frankly he is such a turd and gets so much media slobbering that I cannot believe Jones DIDNT draft him.
