Somebody else posted that he started the game, but I definitely don't remember seeing him.

Nobody has said how many snaps he played.

Seems odd he would start the game and then not be in the on 3rd and goal from the 2 yd line on that same drive.
Sounds to me like the coaching staff got fed up and pulled him ASAP.

Apparently, Booker didn't play at all. I think the rookie needs snaps. To expect him to be better or even as good as one-legged Zack Martin on day 1 with no preseason snaps....IDK.

That's why I'm saying do NOT trade for another QB. if someone comes available through the waiver wire, fine. But we never know who might fall. I mean I have my issues with Dak, but we hit big with a 4th round pick!

The difference between Shedeur and Milton right now is that we would have had Shedeur for at least 4 years and we have Milton for 3 years. If I were a GM, I think that would help me plan things out a bit better cap wise.

We can't keep throwing away picks on players other teams give up on.. Picks sometimes shit big time.
At some point you have to invest a high draft pick in a QB to have the best chance to find a franchise QB

Count all the Super Bowl winning QB's, I think the solid majority are 1st rd picks.

We haven't drafted a QB in the 1st rd since 1989 (when we technically drafted two). That's too long.

I dont want Sanders for ten yrs, even if it was for free.

He's a turd. And a Turd that is not overly gifted physically.

Go plug in Nebraska and BYU games and get back to me.
I'll get back to you after his next preseason start (if he gets one). College is college... lots of things happen. A lot of college ball is played with and against players who have no shot at the NFL, and QBs need help.

Let's see how he does in the pros. First game wasn't bad. I think they are hyping his performance, but he wasn't bad, especially if you add the handicap that he got few reps (unlike Milton).

So as of right now, Sanders is better than Milton.

I don't disagree with that, but the inverse is also true. If a solid majority (let's say 60 percent) were first-round picks, that means 40 percent were not.

I just watched the first half and one drive of the pre season game vs the Rams.

Joe Milton is pure shit!

Mafah and Aubrey are the only redeeming players so far in this game.

The rest of the team is shit. I don’t care that this is the first pre season game of the year. We are undisciplined, making stupid pre snap penalties like we always do. So much for Shotty being the disciplinarian and wanting to be a physical team.

This team, as always, is a complete joke!

Liufau was good and rookie Shemar James flashed some, you can see why Eberflus liked him. Winfrey was by far the best of the DT's.

Flournoy could have had a "career" type game had Milton not been so bad and Jalen Brooks was pretty good.

Aubrey split the middle with his FG's and PAT.

Otherwise, yeah the whole game was awful. Run defense was horrible in the 2nd half and was just average at best in first half. No pass rush at all. Pass coverage was non-existent for most part. OL was not good and WAY too may stipid penalties on them.

As bad as it was, I never once saw Schottenheimer appear to get mad (could be because we had the Rams broadcast and they only panned over there a few times at most) but the game was a disaster in every way possible.

Sanders is a flub dude. You say you dont want to trade a pick for a backup but Sanders would have cost a pick to draft, and he is a waste of time.

He played against the worst defense in the league last night and they sat almost all of their starters. The best play he had was a one handed catch by one of his receivers

He is everything that's wrong with sports athletes today...never had to compete for a job in college (something daddy even announced, that he would be the starter no matter what) and then teams were completely turned off by his terrible attitude during the interview processes.

Frankly he is such a turd and gets so much media slobbering that I cannot believe Jones DIDNT draft him.

I don't disagree with you but I would have rather taken a flier on Sanders than gone with Milton. Churn the QB position every year. We've seen the strategy dating back to Roger/Landry and up until BP with Testaverde/Bledsoe/Romo, but the minute a real HC leaves the building we just go back to the circus. This isn't a football team a real GM but a circus lead by a clown.

Luifau was good last night. I am looking forward to seeing him and Overshown on the field together this season.

But other than that it’s rinse and repeat. We still can’t run the ball. We still can’t stop the run. We still commit stupid pre snap penalties. We are still struggling with everything that we have been for years.

An entire change in coaching staff and we still have the same exact problems we have always had

The more things change the more they stay the same
