they did and you made a good point that Georgia should be in the final so they simultaneously made them look good for passing on FSU and terrible for not giving Georgia a shot at a 3-peat
hopefully this is the impetus to expand to 8+ playoff teams

In FSU's defense, because of injury they were down to their 3rd QB.
A bunch of the players that sat out, would not have done so had they been playing in the playoffs.
That said, I felt good about us winning comfortably but I never saw 63-3 coming. I thought we might win 35-10 or something.

Michael Penix draft stock got flushed tonight.
He was awful. Missed wide open receivers and made terrible reads all game long.
Michigan defense is good, but he made them look even better.
That said, college football playoff committee completely fucked this up this year. None of these 3 playoff games were well played and the best team wasnt even invited to play because they all had a hardon for Alabama, which had no business whatsoever being there. Neither did Washington. As bad as Texas played last week, they were a Sarkisian brain fart sequence from winning that game, and Washington looked like total shit tonight.

12 team playoffs will fix that. If you’re the 13th best team no one will care (except the fans of that school) that you didn’t get selected.
The top 10 pick talk for Penix ( and Bo Nix) was silly. Penix throws a pretty deep ball to a stable of NFL WRs. Nix is a check down king. Plus they are both older prospects so they are near maxed out developmentally.
