Jerruh just said Crappaport and Fisher basically had no idea what they were talking about on the Earl Thomas thing.

Sounded like he was still be considered.

Zoner fucktards going apeshit now bashing Jones for denying what Crapreport said. Came up with all sorts of ****** theories of their own.

Rationalized that Parcells was going to win a championship here (he wasnt) and that Wade was a good coach that Jerry had to fire.

The Rams/Chargers just announced that they will not allow fans at the stadium this season

It would have been a long shot for me to get an actual ticket for opening day vs the Cowboys due to price and availability.

But however small of a chance I might have had has now been reduced to zero

It would have been amazing to watch the Cowboys shitstomp the Rams at their season opener in the new stadium.

some of Helman's tweets in above thread...

  • it starts with the pass rush. this was as miserable as Dak has been in the pocket in a week or so. I charted sacks by Everson Griffen, Bradlee Anae Tank & LVE (blitz) as well as a couple from inside pressure. and what happens in these situations? bad throws
  • obviously, Dak is always going to throw because he can’t be sacked. but in these scenarios: - he got pick-6’ed by Ha Ha Clinton-Dix - he had a deep post broken up by Anthony Brown - had a short seam route to Jarwin batted away by Xavier Woods
  • ... and then there’s Trevon Diggs, who had another great day Diggs undercut a post route for a really nice PBU on Michael Gallup. a few reps later, Dak was pressured and badly overthrew Cooper - only to see Diggs make an overhead, leaping catch for an INT & return.
  • OT continues to be the problem spot for this camp. Tyron Smith & La’el Collins returned to practice today and participated in individual drills, but no competitive work. Can Erving also played some LT. unfortunately, Mitch Hyatt was carted off with a leg injury.
  • Greg Zuerlein took another six kicks today, and he’s now 24-of-24 for camp. his long today was from 48.
  • Chido Awuzie came to practice but didn’t participate, & Jourdan Lewis is still out. Lots of opportunities for young guys. Diggs obviously had a good day. Chris Westry got some run and had a nice PBU of Jon’Vea Johnson.
  • Johnson may have had the catch of the day, though. Really nice contested catch of a back shoulder ball w/ Saivion Smith in coverage. Noah Brown also has a really wonderful catch in 1v1. double move and a contested effort with Diggs swiping at the ball as he went to ground.
  • like we always say, it’s tough to judge the running game in practice. but there were several runs that looked like they’d have gone a long way in live action. Rico Dowdle and Darius Anderson each ripped off runs that saw them get 10-12 yards downfield before they were touched

clarence's tweets:

  • Right tackle La'el Collins practiced for the first time since start of training cap limited individual and positional drills. No team drills #Cowboys
  • CB Chido Awuzie and LB Luke Gifford did not practice, both nursing knee injuries. LB Sean Lee still has done nothing since start camp. CB Jourdan Lewis remains sidelined with ankle and T Mitch Hyatt suffered a leg injury in position drills
  • The highlight of practice to me was the play of rookie CB Trevon Diggs. He gave up a deep pass to Noah Brown in 7 on 7 but came back strong with nice deflection of a pass to Michael Gallup in team and beautiful leaping interception of Dak Prescott on a high pass to Amari Cooper.
  • Rookie DE Bradley Anae had a nice practice with at least two sacks. Receiver Jon'vea Johnson caught a nice deep ball from Andy Dalton. Get ready for Zeke and Pollard on the field at the same timee
  • Center Joe Looney addressed the team after practice.

ive posted this dude before, in the 1st tweet posted below, the woods hes talking about is xavier

  • The amount of pass rushers who will get home quickly is extremely fun. However, I thought the OL did a nice job today of punching back. Looney, Williams, McGovern, Biadasz all had good reps.
  • Lots of new looks on both sides of the football today. Offensively, the emphasis is getting the ball into their playmakers hands. Defensively, they don’t want you to know where, why, and when they are doing ANYTHING. It’s fun to watch. Chess matches in practice ♟
  • Justin March was one of the few linebackers that stood out today (LVE and Smith were good again). Loved how active him and some of those young guys were flying to the football.
  • The battle for the 5th WR spot continues to heat up. I thought Noah Brown and Devin Smith each had solid practices. There were each plays where the two had to beat their man one-on-one and did so in emphatic fashion.
  • REPLYING TO WHO IN CAMP IS UNDERWHELMING: -Well the tackles (not just the starters) -Blake Jarwin has been hit or miss in practices. I really would like to see more consistency out of him. -Chido prior to him getting banged up -Tyler Biadasz (but he’s seen improvements lately)

tweets in the thread:
  • Reserve tackle Mitch Hyatt suffered an apparent right knee during individual drills. Athletic trainer appeared to perform a Lachman Test before Hyatt was carted off the field. MRI expected.
  • Hyatt’s injury was a sudden turn from what began as a positive practice for Cowboys: LT Tyron Smith, RT La’el Collins and swing tackle Cam Erving were in pads together for first time in camp. Fleming later took team reps. Smith and Collins still working up to that.
  • There were no player absences related to social injustice. A number of Cowboys players have been vocal about racial inequality, including DE DeMarcus Lawrence, RB Ezekiel Elliott, LB Jaylon Smith and NT Dontari Poe. All practiced on Thursday.
  • Cowboys DL Tyrone Crawford and Neville Gallimore both grew up in Canada before moving to America for college. Crawford is taking Gallimore under his wing. On Thursday, he worked with the third-round pick to the side during individual drills, giving him pointers on his technique.
  • Cowboys’ offensive line devoted an extensive portion of their individual drills practicing their double-team driving and combo blocks. This preceded a 9-on-7 run game period. No live tackling yet, but camp’s most physical periods are still to come.
  • WR Noah Brown vs. CB Trevon Diggs in 1-on-1 coverage is what competition is supposed to look like when the football is in the air. Diggs fluidly turned hips inside, located ball. But Brown, who is strongly pushing for fifth receiver spot, made the contested catch on “go” route.
  • If you follow these observation threads after each practice, you’ll notice (and put weight in) the moments that show up again and again. Consistently, how CB Trevon Diggs plays the football when in range of receiver shows up. Had an INT (vs. Amari Cooper) and PBU in team periods.
  • Cowboys LB Luke Gifford missed his first practice of camp. He was a spectator. Nickel CB Jourdan Lewis remains sidelined with Aug. 20 ankle sprain. CB Chidobe Awuzie in pads but not yet involved in team drills.
  • Cowboys QB Dak Prescott threw maybe his most errant pass of camp. No receiver in right flat. Only player was S Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, who dove to secure interception, popped to feet and ran off for TD. A nice moment for Clinton-Dix, who hasn’t had camp the team envisioned.
  • Cowboys S Xavier Woods had a nice rep sequence in team period, looking like a cornerback when draping TE Blake Jarwin in man coverage. On next rep, he came down with a run fit vs. RB Tony Pollard. We know at least one of the team’s starting safeties.
  • With the timing of his signing, Cowboys DE Everson Griffen had a late start to training camp. But that has not slowed him. Spent much of practice in backfield. Tackles having trouble with his spin move.
  • LB Justin March is in a fight for roster spot. Might be underdog to undrafted rookie LB Francis Bernard. But March had two of his best practice moments. Showed speed when sticking with WR Noah Brown on vertical route. Also blew up a screen in team period.
  • Connor Williams returned to practice after missing Tuesday’s session for undisclosed reasons. He has the starting LG job pretty well sewn up. Connor McGovern was his primary competition.
  • For number of reasons, it is a shame there is no preseason. One reason is not being able to evaluate the back end of Cowboys’ WR depth chart. Jon’Vea Johnson made a tough contested catch late in practice. Devin Smith showed YAC ability on crosser.
  • One name that is figuring more into the cornerback mix than perhaps expected at start of camp is Chris Westry. The 6-foot-4 DB is tough to miss. Should see opportunity, perhaps on practice squad at deep position.

It might just be me but every time I read reports of camp, I get a way different feel than I did for the red dolt. Crying shame we wasted the years of some talented players on a scrub HC who did not earn the player's respect or attention. I like MM.......solid HC.
