Wade Wilson: Romo has best practice

Blogosphere and the web have been full of people saying Dallas doesn't have a long ball, particularly after people saw what Dustin can do with it. I wonder if now suddenly "Romo's long ball" stuff has anything to do with it. I mean, Romo CAN chuck it deep, he's just so seldom ever called upon...

    33 yard extra points

Getting one point from the two y/l is better odds than getting one as a 33 yarder, you're sure right about that. But it's also better odds than getting the two from scrimmage. BUT.... if you make the 2 pointer 50% of the time there's no difference at all. Shoot, what if ya make the 2 pointer...

    Tony Stewart kills another driver

I did alot of racing in my misspent youth, and the FIRST rule at all levels is STAY IN THE FUCKING CAR.

I'm excited about #10, Dustin Vaughan.

Vaughan can still be a total bust - we've only seen how he does against Charger 4th string scrubs. Lots of upside to him but you all may also be right about Jerr. But shit, if we can keep a Stephen Stinkin McGee around for three fucking years, hopefully we can keep Vaughan around for at least a...

I'd seriously consider going for two every time.

    Children of the greats

Archie was a heck of a good quarterback though, just on a truly terrible team. He was one tough sumbitch too.

Note the zip on these passes, and the lack of adjustments by the receivers needed. http://youtu.be/3sBXKL9VFHU

Garrett rattles off long list of reasons of how the defense struggled in preseason

I never noticed it with Favor, mainly because was never a fan I suppose. Might be why he's the NFL's all time turnover king?:smile1

I'm excited about #10, Dustin Vaughan.

Only way a Aikman works though is if we run the freaking ball. Although, I imagine Aikman would light it up too, with these rules today and with a air raid type offense. We'll never know. But can you imagine that Dallas offense of the 90s playing a defense hamstrung by the rules like we see today?

Garrett rattles off long list of reasons of how the defense struggled in preseason

It might be something worth trying, since the successful teams seem to have no trouble with it. :lol

Garrett rattles off long list of reasons of how the defense struggled in preseason

I haven't noticed that probably because Dez doesn't make many mistakes and isn't known for sloppy play. But, yeah I got your little dig there.:neutral

Garrett rattles off long list of reasons of how the defense struggled in preseason

I'll give another example. If you watch a little bit for it, you'll see Tony Romo unbuckles his chin strap after every play. What the fuck for? It is a dumb habit that only serves to give him something else to remember before the snap. He's ran entire plays without buckling it back up, and has...

Garrett rattles off long list of reasons of how the defense struggled in preseason

I was and am, a hat with your chinstrap fucking buckled kind of guy. Start paying attention, and watch the successful teams paying attention to the little details, and watch them on Super Bowl Sunday on TV while the Cowboys and Redball sit at home and watch too. Go look at tape, see if there...

Garrett rattles off long list of reasons of how the defense struggled in preseason

That starts with making them tuck their fucking jerseys in. Sloppy look, sloppy play and you're surprised? NO detail is too small if you want disciplined players.

I'm excited about #10, Dustin Vaughan.

The funny thing about this is, I really see Dustin as more of a dink and dunk controlled passing Aikman type than a bomber. One of the knocks on him is his smallish hands, making his deep throws somewhat flat. But yeah he did throw deep fairly regularly in college and you DO need to have that...

    Rookie impressions after 1 game

Needs work on the mental part of the game. Technique and such. Ware is old and past his physical prime too, but makes up for it with technique.
