    Expectations? #2

I am happy there is no bye week, and happy all is acceptable on the injury front. Getting through the 16 game schedule relatively healthy is a big plus. But let's not delude ourselves - this by and large and at its core is still the 8-8 team of years past. They're just having things go their...

Nobody's calling for Garrett to be coach of the year?

Seems like the quals are there. Lost his play calling duties, has had his role greatly reduced. Should be COY right? Discuss.

For the few lingering Romo haters out there: Romo deserves 2014 NFL MVP Award

Nobody is. I am saying it's not a surprise either way if he gets the MVP award, or not.

No, they sure didn't. Because they already had one, just refused to actually use it. Now, they use it. And everyone benefits, including the defense.

For the few lingering Romo haters out there: Romo deserves 2014 NFL MVP Award

That's not what I've said at all. I've said his greatly reduced role is not a good argument for a MVP award. Ok, 25 percent less than last year. Better?

    Scott Linehan is the man

Praise Tony's back surgery. For that is the lone reason we went "run first."

For the few lingering Romo haters out there: Romo deserves 2014 NFL MVP Award

I have been quite clear. Romo doesn't get the MVP based on his pass attempts being cut nearly in half. Such a greatly reduced role in the offense does not a MVP make. Besides which, the definition of MVP is really murky, so that is why I wouldn't object or be surprised at all, either way. What...

    Cool

There's no reason it CAN'T. But many reasons why it well might not.

I guess you missed what I said before. And to that I will add that if he doesn't get it, I won't be surprised at all or in the least bit upset. For the reasons I have mentioned.

For the few lingering Romo haters out there: Romo deserves 2014 NFL MVP Award

I'm not bitching or harping. I am pointing out that with far fewer pass attempts and a reduced role in the offense overall, this is not the argument for MVP.

For the few lingering Romo haters out there: Romo deserves 2014 NFL MVP Award

It's not a cliche. It's a cardinal sin of NFL quarterbacking. Especially inside your own 20! Everyone knows it's a dumb play.

For the few lingering Romo haters out there: Romo deserves 2014 NFL MVP Award

I would rather have Tony under center for this Cowboys team right now, than any other quarterback playing today. And if he won the MVP I'd be perfectly fine with it. He said he would be better this year, and he has been. But then of course, at the time he said that he knew something we didn't...

Likely we will have to get past Seattle, in Seattle. To be able to see that NE game.
