    2016 NFL Week #16: Detroit Lions (9-5) @ Dallas Cowboys (12-2)

And won the game. Twice. Just stay tuned pal. It's coming. Our weak run defense will get exposed in the playoffs.

    2016 NFL Week #16: Detroit Lions (9-5) @ Dallas Cowboys (12-2)

Dude. Look at the number of attempts. The nearest to us among the top teams you name, has 50 MORE attempts on them than we do.
  3. Doomsday

    2016 NFL Week #16: Detroit Lions (9-5) @ Dallas Cowboys (12-2)

You don't see those teams getting gashed like we do. When the first playoff opponent who really tries and sticks with it, and runs up 200+ yards rushing on us, I'll let you tell me I told you so.

    2016 NFL Week #16: Detroit Lions (9-5) @ Dallas Cowboys (12-2)

No it's not, You're still calling and running, running plays.
  5. Doomsday

    2016 NFL Week #16: Detroit Lions (9-5) @ Dallas Cowboys (12-2)

Yeah I'm always gonna root for the Giants vs. everyone except Dallas. Because if not for Wellington Mara, there isn't a Dallas Cowboys, and there wouldn't have been Tom Landry coaching them. We owe a debt of gratitude.
  6. Doomsday

    2016 NFL Week #16: Detroit Lions (9-5) @ Dallas Cowboys (12-2)

Detroit had the LEAD tonight, when they abandoned the run game. Teams do that for the same reason we used to - running the ball just isn't sexay enough for them.
  7. Doomsday

    2016 NFL Week #16: Detroit Lions (9-5) @ Dallas Cowboys (12-2)

Yes, getting them to just totally abandon the run was a genius adjustment on our part.
  8. Doomsday

    2016 NFL Week #16: Detroit Lions (9-5) @ Dallas Cowboys (12-2)

You're confused. We still kept running the ball. It doesn't matter the ball carrier, we didn't abandon the run. We just rested the starter here and there. Tonight we saw from Detroit what we used to do. They just stopped calling running plays altogether.
  9. Doomsday

    2016 NFL Week #16: Detroit Lions (9-5) @ Dallas Cowboys (12-2)

Huh? That's the OLD Dallas playbook. Since 2014 though we generally don't abandon the run when it's working.
  10. Doomsday

    2016 NFL Week #16: Detroit Lions (9-5) @ Dallas Cowboys (12-2)

That'll be one hell of a war though. I'll watch.
  11. Doomsday

    2016 NFL Week #16: Detroit Lions (9-5) @ Dallas Cowboys (12-2)

You gotta look at the attempts. We are LAST in the league in rushing attempts against us. Those defenses are legitimate run stoppers because they have a ton of attempts against them compared to us. Nobody's really tried all that hard to run on us and the first one who does is gonna get 200+ on...
  12. Doomsday

    2016 NFL Week #16: Detroit Lions (9-5) @ Dallas Cowboys (12-2)

Because nobody's getting the touches. Nobody's really tried to run the ball.
  13. Doomsday

    2016 NFL Week #16: Detroit Lions (9-5) @ Dallas Cowboys (12-2)

It's too early to know who's coming to dinner yet. There's still one more regular season game left, then of course the wild card round on our bye week. We won't know until after that wild card game.
  14. Doomsday

    2016 NFL Week #16: Detroit Lions (9-5) @ Dallas Cowboys (12-2)

No, according to Kristi Scales the protocol official in the booth paged him off the field for the checks.
  15. Doomsday

    2016 NFL Week #16: Detroit Lions (9-5) @ Dallas Cowboys (12-2)

In a totally meaningless game no less. We suit up Sanchez next week.
  16. Doomsday

    2016 NFL Week #16: Detroit Lions (9-5) @ Dallas Cowboys (12-2)

The first team who takes it seriously as far as running the ball on us goes, runs up 200+ on us. We're terrible against the run and have been, it's just that nobody's really, obstinately, ran it on us.
  17. Doomsday

    2016 NFL Week #16: Detroit Lions (9-5) @ Dallas Cowboys (12-2)

Complete chemistry change on this team. Dak inspires greatness in everyone.
  18. Doomsday

    2016 NFL Week #16: Detroit Lions (9-5) @ Dallas Cowboys (12-2)

Everyone comes to Dallas. We're the #1 seed.
  19. Doomsday

    2016 NFL Week #16: Detroit Lions (9-5) @ Dallas Cowboys (12-2)

There's no reason to play Romo unless the game COUNTS and Dak is hurt. If there's resting Dak I go with Sanchez next week for the Eagles, after 1st quarter. We might NEED Romo in a playoff game and or super bowl, I am NOT risking getting him broken in Philly, period.
