It’s time to move on from Dez

I've seen really good slant runners, and IMO Dez isn't one of them. Tell me, who here remembers him killing teams with the slant? Injuries and a reduction in speed has reduced him to a back shoulder jump ball WR. Not only that, he gets frustrated and lets plays and players get into his head...

The 2018 Debacle as I see it

As far as odds go to win the Super Bowl, yes. This has me baffled on several fronts. One, were not better than the Jags. Two, the NFC, IMO, is a lot more competitive than the AFC. It makes no sense what so ever.

Will Cowboys be better than 9-7 after spending NFL draft plugging holes? NO!

You're right. I watched that game again because it was so long ago. But it is amazing what I remembered. Roger was under duress all game. Battered and bruised and did not break. He actually got better later in the game. He did not have more time. That's why I brought up the 4th and 17...

Will Cowboys be better than 9-7 after spending NFL draft plugging holes? NO!

Yeah you're right. We squashed the Rams a week later.

Will Cowboys be better than 9-7 after spending NFL draft plugging holes? NO!

Most likely. That is what I am expecting as well so I can't be upset. That is the reality. But the fantasy is still a possibility. Our defense plays really good and our WRs find a way to better take advantage of M2M coverage due to attention on Zeke. I know I know, it's madness. It would...

Will Cowboys be better than 9-7 after spending NFL draft plugging holes? NO!

Yeah, look about right. I'm seeing a possible 7 wins, but that might be a stretch. Unless the Cowboys defense shows up this year, which they probably won't, the schedule will play out just like that.

    Cowboys 2018 Schedule

Yes we are. But all QBs need help, or at least most of them do. WRs have to get some separation during the time the OL gives the QB. You can blame whoever you want if this doesn't happen, game planning, aging WRs, QB, whatever. But there was a difference between 2016 and '17. Even when Dak...

    Cowboys 2018 Schedule

I think our offense played better. The Cowboys seem to try to win using ball control exclusively, because the D wasn't any better. That isn't easy to do and it's probably why Dallas has 2 good seasons under Garrett. Our D was not better, it was the offense that was more efficient.

    Predict the pick

I don't know why we didn't take Evans, he was still on the board. If we wanted an LB he seemed the safer pick.

    Cowboys 2018 Schedule

As a general rule you are pretty much spot on. You're right in that you just can't buy talent and overwhelm everyone else. But part of the process is putting the better talent on the field in the right places within the limits. It's a totally different ballgame than it used to be and we're...

    Cowboys 2018 Schedule

We can draft a DL or LB, trade for you know who at S, and take a WR with the 2nd pick. No team is perfect and just like with Dez I don't put all of the blame on Dak. This team checked out last season and that's what I'm worried about. It reminded me a little of 2010 and that wasn't Romo's...

    Cowboys 2018 Schedule

I dunno, I see this team being more talented than our usual 8-8 season teams in more areas. But I do see a problem at WR. These guys are not getting any younger, and we may have to draft a WR at 19. It would be nice if our coaching staff would design a game plan focusing more on our strength...

The frightening reality the Cowboys now face as the NFL draft approaches

Have to agree. Anything more and I'd rather trade up for a younger player this draft over a 29 year old.

    Rashaan Evans.

    David Irving

    Recant or not, 6 weeks!

It’s time to move on from Dez

Either him or Edmunds. But I think Evans might be there at 19, and if so, I'd rather Dallas take him over giving up a pick for one of the other two by trading up.

It’s time to move on from Dez

I was looking at the wrong year, 2019. His total earnings I think. I'm all for it as long as they do something with the extra 3.2M. Otherwise I don't think it would be a good idea to be dropping another WR when it isn't necessary. Injuries happen.

It’s time to move on from Dez

You're right about TWill, just not too sure about Beasley. The 'boys don't need that cap space and he's only a 4.2M cap hit this year. Do you think they're going to make any trade or sign any FAs where the cap space is needed? I think it's obvious Dallas isn't going for Earl Thomas or they...

    Cowboys and free agency

Sooooo, the Cowboys have no one better than Byron to play at corner? Should be an interesting year.

It’s time to move on from Dez

This is just basic common sense. But that doesn't mean they don't consider it a possibility Again, they don't know for sure, just suspect this is the case. It's mainly one year that's killing him, 2016. He did not play a big role in the success of the team, unlike 2014. He made a few big...
