I'm not sure who you guys are talking about, but yeah, Jerry would never tank. The DC news guys pretend that no team tanks. Yet we saw, with our own eyes, Philly do it.
If you're a bad team then you can legitimately get away with playing young guys with the excuse of "we want to see what he can do".
Players are always hyped coming out of college and some of the most hyped are the biggest flops. Todd Marinovich, anyone?
But, gosh, there sure does seem to be a lot of buzz around Caleb Williams.
But we are too good of a team this year not to give it our all. I do not believe that we are better than the 49ers, Eagles, but injuries do happen to other teams too. Some guy on the radio here in Houston picked the Giants.
A team that could scare is the Detroit Lions. My fellow Aggie Dan Campbell is doing a really nice job up there. And, of course, there are teams like the Seahawks etc.
In short, I don't think Dallas is the best team in the NFC, but the season needs to be played out because every team is a couple of key injured players away from average.

Caleb Williams is a dipshit and will be a bust. Anybody that paints "F U C K U T A H" on his fingernails is a fucking idiot, and the #1 rule on drafting QB's should always be do they pass the knucklehead test. I don't care what his "stats" are, how far he throws it or how fast he runs with it, if the QB is a knucklehead he will almost assuredly be a failure.
I don't know why anyone would even think about a team that won 12 games each of the last two yrs and appears (on paper anyway) to be better this yr "tanking" though.
I'm not worried about the Giants at all. The Lions are probably going to be good and win the NFC North. Nobody in the NFC South is worth a shit. Seattle might push San Fran for the division title. Philly should be the favorite but I do think Javon Hargrave is a huge loss and I am not a big believer in the back 7 of the their defense.
If our team stays healthy I think we'll win the division, but anything can happen and it's a very long season. Our schedule is brutal (especially after Thanksgiving) though.

Would prob be best to wait till after tomorrow night to do this but I am bored and you know, post count is everything on the interwebs.
My 53 roster prediction:
QB (2): Prescott, Rush. Not sure about Grier as I know some rules changed with the 3rd QB. But might go with only two again.
RB (4): Pollard, Deuce, Dowdle, Luepke. I guess there's a slim chance they could make a move for a veteran and maybe Luepke goes to the PS. Ronald Jones reportedly may make his Cowboy debut tomorrow night but is suspended the first two games.
TE (4): Ferguson, Schoonmaker, Hendershot, McKeon: Stephens injury probably ensures McKeon stays, unless they decide to either go with only 3 TE or look for a little vet exp as a 4th.
WR (5 or 6): Lamb, Cooks, Gallup, Tolbert, Turpin. If they decide to go with 6 then it comes down to Fehoko, Brooks or Houston and whomever plays the best among those tomorrow night might slip on.
OL (9 or 10): Tyron, Tyler, Biadasz, Martin, Steele, Asim Richards, Bass, Farniok or Hoffman. I think with Edoga's injury a veteran backup or two will be traded for/claimed/signed after final cutdowns.
DL (10): Lawrence, Armstrong, Williams, Fowler, Hankins, Odiggy, Mazi, V Fehoko, Land. Either Bohanna or Gallimore, although I won't be surprised if both get traded or released. Golston is another guy on the bubble but his ability to play DT and DE might give him the edge. Fehoko hasn't earned the spot but I doubt they give up on a rookie 4th rd pick this soon. He missed a lot of time with injury.
LB (5): Parsons, LVE, Clark, Harper or Jefferson, one veteran. With Overshwon's injury, they might sign a vet as depth.
DB (10): Diggs, Gilmore, Bland, Joseph, Wilson, Kearse, Hooker, Bell, Mukuamu, Juanyeh Thomas. They love Goodwin for ST but Joseph is a a solid ST and has had a good camp and preseason at CB. Nashon Wright was reportedly having a good camp but he is hurt too I believe. Rookie Eric Scott ends up on PS unless he has a big game tomorrow night. Technically Jourdan Lewis is still here but he has not been cleared to practice yet, may open season on IR if they dont release him. Had major injury last yr.
Specialists (3): Anger, Aubrey and Sieg (LS). I don't think Aubrey is a lock yet, if he has a rough night tomorrow they will probably get a veteran in here asap.
If they went with the max I have at every spot that would be 54, so at least one spot will be a little light. Could be LB as Quinn said this week Bell would play LB some and Kearse/Wilson line up there in some formations too.

The one obvious advantage the Giants have right now is consistency on offense. This is Daniel Jones', Saquan's etc first year playing in the same system two years in a row. Adding Darren Waller helps a ton. He's still a good player, and when he was at his peak (when Witten was there) he was unstoppable. We better hope that Darren Waller doesn't return.
I understand that McCarthy is not throwing the baby out with the bathwater, but in general, when a new system is implemented, it can take nearly a whole year for everyone to be optimally clicking as one.
What I'm saying is, it shouldn't shock anyone if our offense struggles a bit. Now, of course, it depends on what the Giants defense does. Isaiah Simmons should help, at least with depth, if nothing else.
As far as Caleb goes, we'll see. Brett Farve was a bit of a knucklehead. Sony Jorgensen, Joe Namath, Dandy Don, and many more. Sounds more like a young confident kid having some fun. Caleb has a huge spotlight on him, which doesn't help
People have a tendency to overly focus on the oddest stuff. Like with Will Levis, it was on what he eats and how he trains.
What I would ask about Caleb is how his teammates feel about him. Does he want to be a Super Bowl champion? How hard does he work? Do his coaches view him as coachable?
He can paint anything he wants on his finger nails. It's not something I would do, but then again, I also have no tattoos and I think anyone with tattoos is a knucklehead, so to each his own.
