Agree, they don't. Why isn't it about "the clowns that run the franchise" now instead of blaming Prescott?

You may not have been around here long enough but we have a deathwatch thread dedicated to Jerry's demise. Jerry is reason #1 for our failures since Jimmy left. You won't find anyone here that disagrees with that.

Defense wins championships not quarterbacks. Foles proved that. San Frans going to the Superbowl w/a third stringer quarterback because of their top notch defense. Book it!

So you take an outlier like Foles and feel that it somehow proves your point? SF isn't going to the SB with a back-up. You can book that. The NFC is wide open and Dallas has enough talent to go to the Big Show. It all depends how the man under center plays and carries this team. That's just the reality.

I would tend to agree is not for Dilfer, Johnson, Flacco and a few other shitty QB’s who currently have Super Bowl Rings

I’m calling my shot right now

We exit the first round of the playoffs because of a late game/last minute game killing INT that bounces off of another one of our pass catchers hands.

I also suspect that shortly after our early exit we will start to hear stories that Dak’s hand was never really healthy after coming back from the thumb surgery.

Kind of like we had with Zeke last season. When they claimed he was fine, but it turns out he was playing injured most of the season.

Same goes for Micah. I suspect we will find out that he has been dealing with some lingering issue that the team has kept quiet all season.
I say they bookend the season with 2 losses to Tampa Bay

i do too and have said repeatedly this is the easiest road to the Super Bowl I’ve seen in my lifetime (although if Rogers and Brady both make it, then that changes things)

regardless, I don’t trust this organization and think the entitled atmosphere breeds softness that can’t hold up in the playoffs and can’t see them winning more than one game

I feel the same way that the NFC is wide open.

At the end of the day, I look at it like we'll have one more game while other teams are staying home. Dooms may disagree but I think MM has been good for this team and is light years better than the Red Dolt. The sad part about that tenure is the wasted years with an inexperienced HC to feed Jerry's ego. I'd bet the players have more respect for the current coaching staff.

We have quality players at the skill positions. We have a generational talent at DE/LB, a solid LT, decent TE's, a CB that can shut down a receiver when he's on, a RB that can take it to the house (TP). We need the QB to play well and he'll have to carry the team, especially if/when we play a solid QB who can and will challenge the D. The QB is the difference maker.

O
Other than the massive cast on his hand? Looks like he's hiding a softball in that thing.
He just did that.

I do think he has been playing hurt for quite a while now. He got dinged up pretty bad a couple times early in the season. He was much more explosive the first 6 or 7 games. Some if it is wear and tear and just getting beat up from playing DE too much, but I do think he has some sort of leg or back thing going on.

It's called "book." And I warned you guys about this in the off-season. Opponents ain't dummies and they have tons of film on him now and are working accordingly.
It has nothing to do with "book".

Anyone can see he is not as explosive.

Dooms and dbair can be critical but I wouldn't call them haters......
It's funny. When I posted for years and years at that other highly populated place, 1/2 the people said I was a hater and the other 1/2 said I was homer. I said that was proof that I was a "realist"

I want to be optimistic, love the team and always have. But once I see patterns or proof of something I call it the way I see it. I guess some people don't like that.

I know, I still think someone has hijacked your account Amigo.

The REAL Dodger would be right there with me expecting a lackluster 1st rd playoff exit again.

He's being facetious, playing a reverse role. Thinks he's funny. He has a singular wit.

Lol, I didn't prove anything, Foles did.
And Philly won because of their defense. Had Brandon Graham not been in Brady's face causing that fumble, Philly wouldn't have hosted a Lombardi.

Maybe your reality, not mine. If & when Moore decides his cute plays again & MM doesn't have proper clock management again, this team will be one & done again no matter how the man under center plays.

I'll tell you....people's opinions here change like the wind. The mantra here to defend Dak was if you score 30 points you should win. NE scored 33 but the Eagles scored 44. Foles was phenomenal in the SB and made some incredible passes. He was SB MVP and made some money that night.

But either way, guys like Foles, Dilfer and Hostetler are outliers. True franchise QB's own the SB and it's not a coincidence that the SB MVP's are, more often than not, the QB.

You may not like it but this team will only go so far as Dak carries it. The D is absolutely important but we'll see some incredible QB play in the AFC which has the best QB's in the NFL right now.

I'm not. I like this team. It's inconsistent and the argument was we would beat up on weak teams and lose to teams with a winning record. That's pretty much been shattered this year. We've beat some really good teams. I'm critical when the team doesn't play well or if I think it's smoke and mirrors but it's hard to argue with what they've done this year, including a nice stretch with a back-up QB.

The playoffs will tell the story. Dak will have to play lights out against other solid QB's. We have a D and a generational talent on D that opposing coordinators have to game plan against. They're going to give up yards on the ground but they'll make some plays and turn the ball over. It will come down to the QB. It usually does.

How many times have we seen "next man up" and saw a huge drop off? We always attribute it to a lack of depth. But this year has been different. DaRon Bland? WTF? Donovan Wilson? WTF? Cooper Rush? WTF?

I believe a lot of this is coaching and just a mind set that has been instilled in this team. Can it overcome Jerry's country club, play to get rich attitude? I have my doubts. But lets call it like we see it.

It wouldn't surprise me if we stink it up in the first round. Not at all. But what I've seen this year gives me a bit more hope. We've overcome some adversity, from injuries on OL and D to losing our starting QB. And we still have 12 wins.

I think we could win the first round game and lay an egg in the second round. Nothing would surprise me.

The only thing that would surprise me at this point would be making it to and winning the Super Bowl
