Anybody here have any experience with mini split AC/heating units? I'm thinking of getting them installed at a commercial property I rent. They would replace the old style commercial AC and heating units that you'd see on the top of commercial buildings.

I've been pricing these out and the prices have increased 56% since last year. But it's still cheaper than replacing the roof units. And the damage and roof leaks caused by the roof units are a real pain in the ass.

Just another reason for me to hate the fraud occupying the White House but I digress......

Much more efficient and better control. No ductwork. Only issue is gonna be routing power to the install points. Use existing where feasable but you're likely gonna be using an electrician and have some expense there. Take it into account.

But even with that, you're paying off the investment rather quickly. And I hate to bring this up but, there's govt incentives for you to offset a good chuck of the costs!

Right on Dooms. Another issue is placing the wall units in the right places to give you maximum coverage. I like the idea but I also can't visualize the finished product in the building. Funny thing is I was overseas in the 90's and the mini-splits were common, especially in housing but I didn't realize how popular they're becoming here until I had to look for AC/heat solutions.

I'm also interested in the incentives you mention.......any further comment on that?

Presented by Pan American Airways System, this pre-war promotional documentary film is titled “Overnight to Hawaii” chronicles a Pan Am Clipper Flight from San Francisco to Honolulu and eventually China. The film highlights the pre-World War II flight paths of Pan Am along the Pacific and offers the viewer a life-like experience of being on board. The film underscores the company’s “Clipper Era” from 1931-1946 characterized by the 28 Clippers carrying different nicknames that symbolized Pan Am and served Asia, the Caribbean, and Latin America. Founded in 1927, Pan Am was the principal and largest international air carrier and unofficial overseas flag carrier of the United States for much of the 20th century.

I buried one of the guys from C Company (Band of Brothers) when I was in the funeral industry back in the day. This was way before band of brothers ever came out. So people didn’t know about them like they do today because of the show.

500+ ppl in attendance. Standing room only.

They brought in some of his war trophies to display for the funeral. He had a Hitler youth knife, Nazi flag and one of Hitlers bathroom fixtures from the his Eagles Nest when they seized Berchtesgarden.

Other members from his unit were in attendance and all telling stories about him and the war. Not a dry eye in the house!

It was one of the more impressive and memorable funerals I ever arranged/directed.
