Doesnt matter Taco, you got vastly overdrafted and will always be remembered as the bust Marinelli got on the table for over TJ Watt.

Tyler Smith, probably a dude that will run your soft ass over Taco if you ever play him in a game.

Jerry, every year:

1) So and so was the highest rated player left on our board
2) Other teams were hot on the trail of so and so
3) We couldn't risk losing so and so by trading down

any questions?

No, it wasnt true.

He wasnt on Dooms draft board because the dude doesnt study anything about the draft.
He wasn't on my draft board because small school weak conference few games played and a holding machine.

Like you said earlier, I have zero faith we can "coach him up." At least his wonderlic score is good. So maybe we can reason with him at least.

That's obviously the concern, can Philbin and the asst O Line coach get the most out of him, because it appears the tools are there to mold. I love the kids nasty attitude and as you note, he is a pretty smart kid who by all accounts works his butt off.

The Titans staff loved him and apparently wanted to take him, but they have a Grade A OL coach and a blocking scheme that seems tailor made for somebody like this kid. Like I said last night, if we had Tony Wise, Hudson Houck or Bill Callhan coaching this kid I'd feel really good about him panning out.

Sometimes it's more about where you land, not just about reps, games played, conference, school. Not sure Dallas is a good landing spot for this guy. But, we're married to him now so we'll see.

I gotta say this and I'm no expert by any stretch. Just a guy that's seen the kind of penalties called in the NFL on a routine basis. Maybe it's just me, but in a lot of these "highlight" reals, I watch the kid and think....flag.....flag.....flag.....
