rooting for an exciting game, which I got
On full display last night were two actual professional TEAMS, collectively working, pouring everything out they had, to break the will of the opposition and impose their own collective will over them. Neither team nearly as loaded with player personnel talent as Dallas is, but both teams far better managed and far better coached. Not one loafer out there last night. Not one slob with his jersey untucked. Not one prima donna with fucking jewelry on - no fucking earrings or nose bars. (Dez and Zeke, hello?) Because they were dressed for business and thinking of their teammates not themselves, not their own junky-assed street cred. It's chemistry, esprit de corps we haven't seen in Dallas since Jimmy left.

Well said. Great points especially about the coaching and managing. Excellent.

I should qualify one point of it though - 2016 we had that chemistry, that esprit de corps - but it was in spite of our coaching not because of it. Of course it deteriorated, the Jason Carrot mediocrity virus again took hold.

Ten years of rowing a boat with no direction with Garrett.

Schwartz is nationally Carrot's biggest critic. Loves to unload on the little worm. Almost brings a smile to my face.

Um, that doesn't excuse your failure to block, Travis.

That's not on Travis. Look how the play was blocked. It was a blocking assignment meant for the ball to go right of Travis.

Connor did what he was supposed to do, get to the 2nd level while Travis seals off the RDT. But Zeke went to the right of the DT, no way Travis can make that block.

The blocking itself was fine. Either Zeke messed up or the wrong blocking assignment was used for where the ball was going. That's a communication issue.

It was a stupid play call, which is what apparently Fred was yelling at the coaches about.

Even DC.com writers are trashing out Garrett and the entire coaching staff.

Between this and what the FAN did yesterday it makes you wonder.

Apparently several reporters asked tough questions yesterday of Garrett. Jane Slater basically asked him if he thought he was a good game manager. There is definitely something going on behind the scenes because no matter how blatantly bad Garrett has fucked stuff up in the past nobody in the local media has ever gone after him or asked him embarrassing questions.

With Elliott still on the ground, Frederick turned toward the Cowboys sideline and screamed his frustration.
“After the play, [Frederick] was like, ‘What are we doing here!? Why are you running this!?’ ” Odenigbo said with a laugh. “And I’m just celebrating. And saying, ‘Ha, ha.’ And he’s just yelling, ‘Why are we doing this!?’ Ah man, it was just a great feeling.”
