Yeah I dont buy anything else Cowboys related either.

Which sucks because I want a Dez jersey for gamedays. But oh well.

Listened to the whole thing tonight at home.

Favorite line... "with that piece of dung offensive line you provided Garrett!"

Kind of the truth.

I don't see Garrett bitching about it.

I guess it's hard to separate what I would want to do with what in all probability Garrett wants to do. I'm not sure Garrett has any balls, so he may not want to go off on Jerry.

But if I were in that position, I would definitely want to.

He can't -- right now -- because I think Jerry was at least considering firing Garrett this offseason. That could finish the job. But if I were in his position, I wouldn't care too much about that. If he's not allowed to coach how he wants to coach, then what is he really? Not a head coach.

If anyone wants to pay me 3mill+ a year for "semi-coaching" a football team, the last thought on my mind would be to piss that someone off.
I have a great ammount of respect for what RHG has accomplished considering what he had to work with.

I would still have a hard time working for someone so stupid and arrogant as Jones.

Somethings just aren't worth the money.

He can get paid big bucks as a coach somewhere else. Maybe not $3m/ year, but enough to live on.

Jimmy had solid offensive and defensive coordinators. I don't think that having these coordinators makes the head coach less of a head coach.

I never bought into Jerry's relatively recently stated belief that the team is better off when the head coach also coordinates either the offense or defense.

Frankly, my guess is that Jerry just doesn't want to pay the "extra" coordinator.

Gotta almost feel bad for people who still get this worked up over JJ. I'm quite desensitized to all of his bullshit at this point.

You look at all the teams in the playoffs, and there was only one I can recall, where the HC was also the coordinator (or called the plays): Mike McCarthy of the Packers.

Yeah but the players get more excited when the head coach also calls the plays and the team scores.

So he should go coach a Div. III team for 400k a year (his actual level) when he gets 3mill+ a year for "semi-coaching" the Dallas Cowboys? I take it you didn't go to Princeton? Not an Economics major? Why would you do that?

I'd take $2 million a year to work at an organization where I didn't have to answer to a fucking moron.

You think he'd have to go to DIII? I take it you got your GED.

I'd take $2 million a year to work at an organization where I didn't have to answer to a fucking moron.

Exactly how many offers to coach do you see him getting in the NFL?
Big Schools?
At those levels he'd be lucky to get a Coordinators job right now. Not saying that is his ceiling (I still believe with the right grooming and steps he could be a good one), but right now he's done nothing.

And you're close on that GED, I'm a lawyer, so basically the same thing.

No way he gets an OC or HC job in the pros. I could see him headed back to Saban's teet, or following in the path of a his career doppelganger: Jim Zorn
