I'm sure that played its part.. but wasn't some of his deal that he couldn't stay healthy?

Either way, he's from Dallas... Maybe we should bring him in to compete...

They (Rams) basically said Alex Barron was a better player.

'Nuff said.

3. Desmond Bryant

2012 Grade: +16.5
2012 Snaps: 645

Summary: With two of the top three interior defensive free agents departing from Oakland, Raider fans might be left ruing the catastrophic mismanagement of their salary cap under the previous regime. As the second Raider on our list, Bryant will be looking to emerge from the shadow of both Seymour and Oakland’s decline in general. His next team will be looking for Bryant to put together a full season as both a run defender and a pass rusher. In isolation he has shown the ability to be top shelf at both, and if you choose the right selection of tape you’ll find a defensive tackle who can do everything.

Back in 2010, his second season in the league, Bryant earned a +10.2 grade in run defense while this season he earned a +16.8 grade as a pass rusher. In any other season that didn’t feature Geno Atkins doing absolutely crazy things, that would have been one of the elite pass rushing performances of the year. Coming out of Oakland Bryant might be a little bit under the radar, but if he can put together the complete package in one season then his next team could be getting one of the bargains of this year’s free agent period.

Well some us wanted micheal Bennett just to be cute and he turned out to be beastly

Johnny Patrick was a popular waiver-wire name

APFor a recent third-round pick who couldn’t get on the field for the league’s all-time worst defense (as measured by yards allowed), cornerback Johnny Patrick was popular yesterday.

After being released by the Saints, he was claimed off waivers by the Chargers. But according to Adam Caplan of TheSidelineView.com, the Seahawks and Colts also put in claims for the former Louisville corner.

Weird. If you were to believe Sdogo (lol)..... the Cowboys went from loving the guys potential at safety, to not even putting in a waver claim on him when he was available while he have a gaping need at safety.

Gosh.... it's almost like that guy wasn't as plugged in as so many wanted to believe.

#Eagles released DT Cullen Jenkins. Started every game in the past 2 seasons, 66 tackles and 9.5 sacks since joining Philly in 2011.

Browns bringing in Breaston for a visit
Posted by Michael David Smith on February 25, 2013, 11:27 AM EST
AP
The Steelers are interested in free agent receiver Steve Breaston, but they aren’t the only AFC North team with interest.

Breaston will visit the Browns this week, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Other teams reportedly interested in Breaston’s services include the Lions, Cowboys and Titans. Breaston, who was cut by the Chiefs last week, can sign at any time, which means a team that’s eager to shore up its wide receiving corps may try to move quickly and sign Breaston now, before the free agent floodgates open on March 12.

The 29-year-old Breaston has shown promise at times in his career with the Cardinals and the Chiefs, going over 1,000 yards in 2008 and over 700 yards in three other seasons. But last year he was largely phased out of the Chiefs’ offense and had just seven catches for 74 yards.

Hmm...always liked Breaston and looks like we are interested.

Interesting kind of out of the blue tweet...

@SullyBaldHead
Hearing some Miles Austin trade chatter, just not sure he really has much, if any, value, especially with that cap number.

What could we even get from a team for miles? High cap figure, injury history... Might as well just keep him.

Heard Archer on this morning saying Miles definitely isn't going anywhere, that Garrett loves him and the team isn't letting him go.

A 4th? Fuck that.

He has more value to our team than what our typical fourth rounders can bring.

That's what I mean.. We won't be able to get anything of value for him. Might as well just keep him on the team.

Plus, I'm not too confident in our backups becoming #2 wrs or that knucklehead dez is mature enough. So in reality we would just be opening another hole.
