Or the turds of the internet forum world can complain when we don't move up for a player we don't like, and someone behind us trades up in front and snatches said player. (Max Unger)..."Dallas didn't get aggressive and we had to "settle"

fail

I am not saying I want this to happen, but it would almost be worth it just to see the reaction.

We do that trade up for Gurley or Gordon, then with our 2nd rd pick we take Bryce Petty.

By the way, put me down for thinking we have no chance for Petty at 60. I think he goes earlier than that.

Brugler says he may sneak into 1st rd now. Thats really an ideal trade back scenario for us though potentially if no players are there we like. Some team really wants Petty and pays us a decent premium to move up.

Don't care about Petty, at all. Next year is the draft to go get a QB. I don't dislike Petty but this team needs two maybe three starters out of this draft. Can't waste a valuable resource on a back-up.

I love Gurley. If he's healthy, he goes top 5, even in a league that has devalued the RB position. That being said, this draft is way too deep at the RB position to trade up and get one. The rumored trade up with Miami seems like forum b.s. It would cost way more than a 3rd and future 4th to jump up that far.

Of course you would. You and some of your brethren will be pissed no matter what they do.

We could have the first 5 picks of the draft and you'd complain.

And, you and your brethren suck the cork of a bottle of Hostile circa (insert year here).

Petty would be a repeat of McGee. Decent college career with crap to contribute to the NFL.

If either of those things were true, why did they spend all the time scouting, working out and visiting with the top RB prospects?
Like they do dozens of prospects every year, as all other teams do? pro days at colleges, everything else. It's due diligence.

We will find out in about 11 hours.

I think Petty's a way better prospect than McGee.

You don't draft QB's who get benched their senior years. We took that clown in the 4th.

I think Petty has way more upside than McGee did. Petty was also ultra productive.

He has a learning curve for sure, but there's definitely some stuff to work with. In two years he could definitely be ready to start.

It was on The Ticket. Again don't know where they got it from.

Almost the entire focus was on DE's, CB's & RB's, with a sprinkle of LB and QB

And just out of major coincidence I'm sure, we need DE, CB and RB. We're drafting a RB fairly early. It might not be first rd, but if it isn't tomorrow it will definitely be Friday.

I doubt it. They love Randle and think they have something with McFadden, and they still love Dunbar. And running won't be the focus anyway.

We shall see.

Mike Mayock is predicting Landon Collins.

I would love that. Tired of playing Madden and everyone torching my safeties.

Kid has cover skills, ball skills and a hitter. Go get em Jerry!

Hard for me to predict players because so many of them id love to see with the Cowboys. There is a reason they are drafted in the 1st round.

Guess the rumored deal (don't know where they got it from) is our 1st and 3rd this yr and 4th next yr to move up into Miami's spot (14th) if Gordon is still there. Am assuming they believe San Diego would jump all over Gordon (or Gurley) just a few spots later.

I really don't care about giving away a middle rd pick next yr. We're almost assuredly getting 3 or 4 comp picks for 2016.

Giving up the 3rd this yr could be offset if they moved down from their 2nd rd pick. Right now we have 3 of the top 91 picks. They could move down from 60 and still potentially have 3 of the top 100-110.

The comp picks won't be worth a shit.

This is an interesting pick for several reasons.

1. Mayock says that Collins will play some LB (which would satisfy the guys thinking that Kendrick will be the pick out of LB depth need), plays special teams and he will play Safety in the base as well. Faster than Church and having a few more lobes under his cranium than Wilcox, he upgrades the secondary.

2. DBair has promised to complain about such a pick.

Collins is a good football player and will be a really good strong safety. We'll have three NFL-caliber strong safeties and no free safeties. It may help you on Madden, but in real life we'd still get torched because all of our safeties are in-the-box guys.
