We can win with Romo.
We can win with Garrett.
We CANNOT win with both.
Pick one. Upgrade the other to elite. And we can win
I don't get this. How can you possibly put Romo and Garrett on the same level? One has done great things in this league. One hasn't done shit.

Get Mike Holmgren in here and you'd see what a real coach with some real credibility would do with these players.

Everyone says that fans become armchair GMs when things are going wrong, but I think any intelligent fan can just look at franchises who are constantly succeeding and figure out that a pretty consistent formula stands out.

Having a stud QB like Romo is 60-70% of the equation. It's a shame that they've failed to fill in the other parts. When you see what Sean Payton and Jim Harbaugh did--and how quickly it worked--it's pretty sad that we're sitting here listening to this "it's a process" bullshit. It's really an insult to our intelligence. Lots of fans buy into it and hop onto the "trade Romo" and "just give Garrett 16-17 more years with full offseasons and he'll show you" bandwagons. Those are the fans that Jerry relies on for his millions.

Your formula is completely correct. It might not win us a Super Bowl every season, but at least it'll help us field a competitive product that's enjoyable to root for. Right now, it's not even fun to follow this team and Sundays are definitely not entertaining.

I don't blame anyone for abandoning ship and finding other more fun things to do on Sunday. I'm not saying to start rooting for another team, but it's definitely stupid and robotic to emotionally invest yourself into a team that sucks pure donkey dick. A true fan shouldn't have to put up with ginger's orange-glowing travelling family circus act.

Exactly

im willing to agree to this..no question romo has done a far superior job at his position than jason has..

heres the problem...i think Jerry is tied long term to Jason..Jason will outlast Tony..for certain..i dont see either one going anywhere..

id have no issues replacing jason w a much better coach...i just dont see it happening..

Yep, the whole gang is coming back next year for sure and perhaps several years beyond that. I refuse to consider any rosy scenarios (i.e. an elite head coach saving the day) so long as Jerry is still entrenched as GM. He will always be the major impediment to success.

Probably so. Radio is playing audio this morning of Jerry basically 1) saying injuries are an excuse after the Sean Lee hit and 2) admitting he can take a bunch of losses and stay in place because he's the owner.

nothing was going to change with or without lees injury...oh well...

we are going to need a miracle for things to work w jason and tony..

we need an elite run game AND an elite defense..right now we have neither
