Missing on Mazi hurt big time. It's natural to blame coaching, but players like Diggs etc get paid to play. I don't care what is called, make a tackle.
People are bending over backwards to make the Micah trade look stupid. I still agree with it. If Micah had been there we still would have lost, maybe just by a different score. Ben Johnson would have run the ball right at Micah.
We need a team. We need players. Bland isn't on the field. Diggs is now just a guy. We never replaced LVE, on and on. Overshown isn't playing, on and on.
At our best with Micah, we needed a lead so teams had to throw. But I will remind people that when we played the elite teams, we got pummeled.
We need talent, talent, talent, then talk to me about coaching and scheming.

with less than 5 mins left in 1st half, the same guy that shredded this defense for 450 yards and 3 tds is 5/8 for 19 yds and this pick into double coverage.

Eberflus' scheme appears to be as bad as one can possibly be.
These arnt rookies and all UDFA's running around out there. These guys are mostly vets and the number of busted coverages is due to not knowing what they are supposed to do or the scheme itself being so flawed it doesnt matter.
Nobody has 11 all pros on defense.
He's got to be fired ASAP.

Nobody forced Dak to accept the contract he accepted. SO YES IT IS HIS FAULT.
Then Tweedledumb, who is on the show with Broaddus, brings up Brady and says (paraphrasing) "Im sure Brady was making way more money than what he was on the books for with TB12..etc"

Eberflus had good defenses with the Colts. Did he just forget?

No defense should be THIS bad and THIS inept.
It's just like Mike Nolan, Monte Kiffin and Rob Ryan all over again. They were bad coordinators when we got them. Nolan and Ryan were never good and Kiffin was just too old and stubborn.
Eberflus presumably decides who gets what PT too, and he has three guys up the middle )both safeties and the MLB) who just have no speed or range and is trying to have them play in deep zone areas and cover lots of ground. The results are predictable. As a team the coverages are way too soft even when they have short fields to cover.
Schottenheimer said after the game "we'll probably have to simplify some things"

That was painful watching us get our butts handed to us. Eberflus better change what he is doing NOW. Scratch the zone and play man to man. Bring extra player on blitz to create more pressure. For the love of god get Sanborn off the field. He is terrible. The entire linebacking corp with the exception of Overshown(injured) and Liafu are all backups at best. Liafu should be playing more. Safeties are terrible. Trevon Diggs is JAG. When I coached any sport I knew if something we were running wasn’t working that I needed to make a change fast as in real time. These are professional players who have played every kind of scheme throughout their football lives. Nothing wrong with scrapping current system and trying something new. Defensive players should never have to think while they play. Everything needs to be instinctive for them to play their best. As long as there is doubt about assignments there will continue to be problems. This football team should not be this bad. There is enough talent, especially on offense, to compete at a higher level. This team looks disorganized and is underachieving. I’m not saying they are a playoff caliber team at all, but certainly they are capable of playing much better than what we saw yesterday. I still believe the entire organization is a reflection of Jerruh Jones. If he really cares about putting a Super Bowl product on the field, he would relinquish all control and hire a true football GM to run the entire operation including hiring and firing coaches along with player personnel. These players know JJ doesn’t care about winning so why should they care? It’s an atmosphere of mediocrity and the players know it. I’ll hang in for a few more games and call it a season. Fall fishing is outstanding on the coast and Sundays are always a great day to go!

Yep, these guys are not ALL as slow as what we see on the field.
They are having to overthink. Not sure what he is asking them to do but the last two games I have never seen so many receivers THIS open in my life. One week after we played Russell Wilson and handed him a career game he was back to be the washed up relic he had been the past few season. Caleb Williams had never had a day like yesterday in the NFL.
Honestly Eberflus should be shitcanned but they don't have many options to replace him.
Ironically his 1st yr in Chicago he had to strip play calling duties from his handpicked DC, and only then did the defense improve. Same thing may have to happen now.

Lamb said postgame he was playing next week, it was a positive sign that he was still up on his feet and walking around some on the sideline. I think had it been severe they'd have had him on crutches and/or a walking boot.
Still, seems unlikely he will really be able to play and be effective. We're not beating GB anyway, they should just let him heal.
