Heat index. Wind chill. These aren't real temps. I chuckle every time I see them referenced as if they're real temps.

Typical West Texas spring weather. Hit the hundred msrk a couple times, but looks like next couple weeks will be slightly cooler and wetter which generally means T-storms and pop up hail damage shops every 100 yards or so.
Like I said typical.

Miserable this morning, and it's not even 10 am yet. Dew Point 74F and a Heat Index of 88F. (now 91 at 10am). Even with a 22mph breeze from the south gusting to 32mph.

We are officially in the throes of a typical West Texas dry heat extravaganza. 15 day forecast is high 90s, with a hundred here and there.
Not much moisture in the forecast. As usual this time of year.

Ha, we cross 40 over at Vega when we go up to Colorado.
Thinking about heading up there in the fall.

They ain't nuthin up here but cows and plows. Pivot irrigation and dust. Just the way we like it, keeps the riff-raff out. Here's last night's sunset.

If you didn't have the moisture you wouldn't have the heat index, and you wouldn't enjoy all the rain y'all get down there. In Palo Duro Canyon near me it's normal to see 110 and up at the canyon floor. That's heat.
