Lefties are making way too much out of this ballroom. I get it. Trump is probably overdoing it like he does most things but the White House should have its own ballroom instead of renting one or erecting a temporary tent on the WH lawn at a cost of millions each time it is used. I probably would not have built one costing $300 million but it is privately funded so why the concern? It is just another sign of TDS.

Trump travels all over the world and has been in probably every major country's formal ballrooms/gathering areas. He says ours was shit compared to almost all over them and was way overdue for an update. I tend to believe him.
The fact that he took initiative to do something about it and then didnt put ANY burden on taxpayers should have been celebrated, but the TDS just eats these rats alive.
Then when you also factor in the security concerns over the DC hotel space they have been using for eons (which were going to be vastly upgraded here) it just makes even more sense.

This is just another travesty of justice from the "we love Democracy" Democrats. First, no lawsuit should be heard unless the plaintiff can provide specifics. In this case, Carroll could not provide a time and date when this alleged rape occurred. How can a defendant properly defend himself in a case like this? Carroll had no witnesses, which again is absurd. In a luxury high end store like BG a salesperson would attach himself/herself to a man like Trump and provide every bit of assistant he needed to shop. There is no chance they would let Donald Trump, one of the richest men in NY at the time, walk around fending for himself. But Carroll could not provide a single employee of BG that remembers the day Donald Trump walked into their store. It is unbelievable to me that a judge let this case go forward, but more unbelievable that a jury found him liable, even with the lower standard for civil suits.
This particular aspect of the case is for slander when Trump called he a liar and crazy. Given he is party to a civil suit brought by her, his comments should be protected by the first amendment. Further, he may be right. After all, she complained that 7 other men also raped her going back to her college days.
I don't think the SC is going to hear this case, honestly. But Carroll, who was back financially by prominent Democrat cannot be allowed to get away with this travesty.
