doctor patient confidentiality is a real thing. He has to take that privilege unless Biden agrees to allow him to reveal his medical records. I think this was predictable, and I am sure Republicans knew he would plead the 5th before he came to testify. This privilege can be broken if there is evidence of fraud of some other crime. Remember, the judge in the Trump documents case forced Trump's lawyer to testify in that case even though his lawyer was not a subject or target of the investigations. This was a significant violation of Trump's attorney-client privilege. Another example of a double standard that Republicans allow to exist.
I work in healthcare and while I agree with this for the most part, the fact is this is an elected (I say that lightly) official to the highest position of authority not only here in our country but in the world. The people of the US (his employer) have a right to know if the guy is/was reduced to the mental capacity of a turnip. (and he very obviously was)

He never should have been in office in the first place, but after the fact he 100% warranted being removed from office. People around him and the media knew this and went to extreme lengths to cover it up.

In this case, the doctor should be forced to testify or face prison himself.

And the left also attacked executive privilege and then sent people to prison (ie: Steve Bannon) when they claimed the privilege and refused to testify. These are treacherous and traitorous fucks. DoJ should follow the left's tactics and go to a conservative court to overturn that doctor - patient privilege. We must start playing by the same playbook.

None of the questions pertained to privilege. If you're going to take the 5th you can't cherry pick, it's an all or nothing deal. He has the right to not self incriminate. He can be granted immunity and then be REQUIRED to answer.

You can't "force" someone to answer unless you're willing to lay down the hammer. These pussy ass Republicans are not....they're soft and just talk the game.

If granted immunity then still refuse to answer they can be jailed indefinitely until they answer.

ICE IS GETTING DANGEROUS CRIMINALS OFF THE STREET!

Every day, these heroes put their own lives on the line to get the worst of the worst (killers, rapists, gangbangers, and other violent criminals) off our streets!

As he said, doctor patient confidentiality can be broken under certain circumstances, and those circumstances arise if there is evidence a crime was committed in which the doctor was involved somehow and was a subject or target of the investigation. A judge can compel the doctor to testify in a legal case, but congress is not a legal case. It is something less than that. Congress, or members of, can claim this situation allows for breaking doctor client privilege but I don't know that that carries any weight. The doctor could refuse to testify and go to court and fight any subpoena. Some one mentioned Steve Bannon tried that and he lost. He should have won. Trump's lawyer should have won his case too.

Jackson makes a statement that is technically incorrect. He says, why would Biden's doctor plead the 5th if he had nothing to hide. Pleading the 5th is not supposed to be perceived as having something to hide. A person could plead the 5th if he doesn't want to get caught in a perjury trap.

In this case, Biden could have ordered his doctor to say nothing. Biden can waive his right at any time and allow the doctor to answer any questions regarding Biden's health.

Do I think the doctor has lied about Biden's health? Yes. Does that make him part of the coverup? Yes. Is it a crime? I don't know. Woodrow Wilson's wife supposedly ran the country when he was ill. FDR hid his condition for years until it became obvious he was ill. JFK hid the extent of his back problems, and the drugs he took for the pain. Ronald Reagan downplayed the extent of his injuries from an assassination attempt.

The Democrats clearly covered up for Biden and we should punish them at the polls. The people who used the auto-pen, or approved policies without Biden's knowledge committed fraud, possibly impersonating the president, and potentially other crimes. I would go after them first.

Congress cannot compel anyone to testify, not without the approval of a judge which would come eventually after the target sues to get the subpoena thrown out and loses. The problem is, the DC courts have been very favorable to people fighting Republicans and Trump, and very unfavorable to those working for Trump. I would bet the farm Biden's doctor wins in the DC courts.

Time to fire Bondi, she's a flop.

I firmly believe Bongino took the job thinking he could do the right thing. But he was a street agent with a limited shelf life in government. Street agents have a ceiling for jobs, even those within their agency. The higher you go, the more political those jobs become. These are political jobs, unfortunately, and Bondi has proven to be just that....a politician. She may even be the conservative version of Kamala....would it surprise anyone if she screwed her way to the top? The more I hear her talk, the more disappointed I am. I suspect she's out of her (professional) league.
