I can't read the article because its DMN but this intimates teams are calling about trades now.

This is probably about a 99.87 on the Bullshit-O-Meter, but it's out there.

This is still getting some play on the Interwebs. Maybe there is a little more to the above post than I (and most) believed.

Van Ness was the 13th overall pick in 2023. He has 7 sacks in two seasons but has the more traditional size that base 4-3 DE's are used to (6'5, 272). He was better as a rookie than he was last yr.

I'd take that trade in a heartbeat.

I think they'd need to make a better offer.

Their two firsts are likely to be picks in the 20's. The 2027 1st rd pick would be "valued" at a 2nd rd pick right now. Essentially, you're giving away Parsons for a 1 and two 2's, along with a guy that has not been an impressive former 1st rd pick (probably valued at a 3rd or 4th at best today)

Now if they included Rashan Gary or Edgerrin Cooper instead of LVN, then it might be something to consider.

That said, they blew their chance to really get a windfall and kind of KNOW what they were getting by not doing the deal before this past Aprils draft. You at least knew for certain what the 2025 picks would have been and you likely would have gotten a top-10 pick, or no worse than a top-15. Plus the other picks in 2025 and 2026.

We both were saying trade him now, back before the draft and on draft day even.

I really can't see them trading him to Green Bay, and I think you could almost 100% scratch off all these teams: Philly, NYG, Washington (which is where he probably most wants to go), Detroit, Green Bay & San Fran.

The real problem they have now is the teams that would want him the most are also the teams with the highest expectations, and if those play out that means you'd be getting picks at the end of the rounds. Which means teams would have to pay a freaking boatload to make it worthwhile.

Apparently Baby P told Jones not to call him anymore.

Trade him. Get everything you can for him. Hopefully he gets all the money he thinks he deserves. We'll be better off in the long run.

They won't trade him. That would be tantamount to quitting on the season, and Jerry doesn't want to see empty seats. He thinks we're a contender every year.

We all know he’s not going anywhere

He and Jerry have had this all planned out for months.

They are going to have him sign his record breaking contract in Philly, week 1, right before the game, just to steal the thunder of Philly raising their Super Bowl banner, and to make all the major news cycles.

The headline will be Micah signs record setting earth shattering deal for a non QB.

Not Super Bowl winners Philly Shegulls raise their Super Bowl Banner!

Book it

I'm going down with the ship & sticking with this is all an act and a great way for Parsons to not participate in training camp/pre-season games and not get ridiculed by media/fans as being a bad teammate/primadonna plus he doesn't risk injury (that jeri has expressed "concern" about) while ginning up a lot of drama in the process, keeping the Cowboys in the news for reasons no fans enjoy or wish the focus was derived from.

I may eat these words but I bet he's re-signed around the week of practice before the first game

Fisher is rarely "right" on anything unless it's something he is reposting after other sources have revealed it.

This smells to me like a potential plant from Cowboys FO, potentially to drum up real incoming phone calls and hopefully maximize his value. Ultimately, even though Fish is rarely right, maybe we are trending towards trading him after all.
