I suppose it comes down to who you want to believe. I am pretty sure I read he had a no trade clause.

! So I decided I would ask AI. I used two different ones. The first one (POE) said Walker DID NOT have a no trade clause. The second one (Gemini) said HE DID have a no trade clause.

Even AI can't agree.

Case in point being Darrin Nelson, who was part of the trade, refusing to report to the Cowboys. The Vikes retained his rights and traded him shortly after to the Chargers.

My guess is that because the modern Collective Bargaining Agreement didn't exist, the wording in the contract was such that it officially was not called a no-trade clause, but that Walker did have the right to reject a trade.

Then we have the added bonus of most journalists being lazy and not really doing the research but instead just repeating what they heard.

As everyone knows, I'm president of the "He-Man Jerry-haters club" but Ive always given Jerry credit for making this deal happen by coming up with the cash, etc to get Herschel to agree to it (and not nixing the trade like he would probably do without Jimmy being around). This was a time when Jerry was at his financially weakest point during his ownership of the Cowboys so to have found the money and been willing to spend it to make the deal happen deserves kudos imo. Its just a shame he couldnt be satisfied with credit for this type of stuff and give credit to Jimmy for his talents (and Jimmy in turn could have blown some smoke up Jerrys ass for his part in the deal--had they found a way to share credit and responsibility, it could have been an even more incredible run but alas....)

Come on now guys.....Micah wasn't just a "regular good player." We may not like him....we may not like that he disappeared in big games......yes, he had his flaws. But he's a guy that offensive coordinators try to scheme around. He's the first guy the opposing QB and offense finds when they line up. His speed size ratio is off the charts. He commanded double teams. The only other guy statistically that matched the start to his career is Reggie White. Let's not lose our minds and cred here.

I suspect teammates didn't like his antics but I'd bet they all, to a man, would want Parsons on their D.

I hope he fails miserably in GB and I hope GB overstated the talent on their team (and QB) that make them think they're a SB contender and one player away. But Micah's a good player. I would have rather kept Micah and traded the QB when it was contract time. Dallas will fail because of their QB and owner.
