Dallas will still be Dallas with or without Parsons. As long as the Jerruh is sticking his nose in the football operations we are going nowhere. I wish Parsons all the best. He will now have a chance to reach a Super Bowl with the Packers. At least the negative energy surrounding this stand off is over. Make no mistake…. The Jerruh will find another way to stir up a shit show. The man can’t help himself!

I'm going down with the ship & sticking with this is all an act and a great way for Parsons to not participate in training camp/pre-season games and not get ridiculed by media/fans as being a bad teammate/primadonna plus he doesn't risk injury (that jeri has expressed "concern" about) while ginning up a lot of drama in the process, keeping the Cowboys in the news for reasons no fans enjoy or wish the focus was derived from.

I may eat these words but I bet he's re-signed around the week of practice before the first game

I'll eat half a serving.

I would have eaten the whole thing if the GM had shown an assertive sack long ago when he had leverage and time and traded MP for more but whatever, deck chairs still apply

1-3 in the postseason...1 sack in those 4 games

Faked an injury to sit out camp and get paid.

Fuck him.
Good call dbair and to add this is where Im at...
I mean I guess it started with Myles Garrett and then followed by Watt.
Meaning those 2 previous edge contract examples convinced me that just maybe I haven't evolved with modern day positional contract raises in today's NFL.
What I'm trying to say is 47 million per is still reserved for quarterbacks in my thinking.
I know.
I'm a dinosaur.

It'll hurt the team but it had to be done. You simply can't let that guy suit up as a Dallas Cowboy again after all he's said and done. Reneged on his contract, reneged on his handshake, demanded a trade, faked a back injury and finally, lying on the trainer's table in the open and during a game. You don't get to be a Dallas Cowboy. There's gotta be a line, a fuckin minimal standard of conduct and behavior.

Yep. Last season Clark had his lowest sack total since his rookie season, made his lowest amount of tackles since his rookie season, and had his lowest TFL total since 2020. Turns 30 in a few weeks too so he isn't getting any better either.

Still an upgrade on Mazi though.
I think we also have to consider the cap. The trade gives us some cap relief to sign other players we would otherwise lose, like maybe Bland. So in that sense, we also got Bland.

Now the Packers obviously think they have a cap situation where they can squeeze in Micah, but, for example, fi we want to re-sign George Pickens, then we now might have the money.

I think Parsons was over rated. A one trick pony who if he didn't beat you off the snap got erased most of the time. That said Bebe nailed it. Jerry doing his best Ned Beatty squealing like a pig. An aging Ken Clarke and two number one picks number picks who if they fall in the 20's likely second round grades. Epitome of a 30 year shit show.

NO SALARY CAP when we traded for Haley!

I don't know how fans think we can keep everyone. The mistake Jerry made was blowing the budget on Dak. Even after a restructure, Dak is STILL making substantially more than Josh Allen this year.

So why do the Packers think they can afford Micah's contract demands? Well, for starters, Love is making 10.63 percent of the cap and Dak is making 18.09 percent of the cap in 2025 (after restructure). Dak will make 24.12 percent of the cap in 2026. and another 20.24 percent of the cap in 2027.

Think about that! In 2026, Dak is on the books for nearly 1/4 of the cap all by himself!

I am getting these numbers from Spotrac.

So something somewhere had to give.

If I were Picken's agent, I'd be saying I want 42 million, LOL. I know that the money gets spread out in all sorts of ways and it isn't as simple as that.

I'm not going to criticize Jerry on this one. We shall see how it pans out. .

Tyler Smith will get a big chunk of that.
